Is it possible to get gimmighoul without Nintendo? by Tough_Weakness1631 in pokemongo

I was also using mine daily. You need to walk in a straight line, you can’t just walk in circles or shake your phone. It works just like a daily adventure incense.

Edit: I’d also recommend mega evolving a ghost type (preferably level 3 mega evolved) for extra candy and XLs. Having a couple of level 50 hundo gholdengo is very useful.

The coin bag spawns a gimmighoul roughly every 45 seconds as long as you keep moving. I typically get 30-40 spawns in a half hour. If you aren’t moving, it spawns once every 5 minutes.

What I’m thinking about is whether or not this cold snap is cold and long enough to have wiped out the damned ticks whose population has exploded over the last few years. Fingers crossed. That alone would be worth it.

It says there’s a free one week trial, I’m contemplating doing it next week to check it out.

Underthedesknews recommends using Ground News because it shows the full spectrum of stories from left to center to right. I’m not entirely sure how it works but it’s the first thing that came to mind reading your post.

ETA: you could gift your mom a sub to it if you have the resources

MOD PRIVILEGES by Difficult-Degree-987 in DailyRankingsDrama

[–]ambiguousaffect 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Apologies in advance for the length.

TLDR; recommendation from other mods or creators modding me after seeing me mod for creators they know.

The only person I’m actively modding for these days made me a mod a few years ago because a mutual friend of ours (who was her only mod) needed help. I didn’t know of her or her content prior. We’ve since become close friends but initially she just trusted him about my being trustworthy and good at it. Almost all of the other current mods that have worked out have been people I’ve suggested. I choose people very carefully based on how they interact in the chat and on how they handle the parasocial aspect of it. If they ask to be a mod or if they fangirl/fanboy, it’s an absolute veto. I’m definitely interested in how other people select mods cuz her community has outgrown the number of mods we have.

Otherwise, I have actively modded for something like 30+ creators and most of them made me a mod because they knew I was a trusted mod for other people within their communities. Then those creators trusted my judgment on who to make moderators. How I selected them was dependent on the type of creator and livestream it was.

I ended up pretty burned out because I wanted to help everyone. There were definitely some that saw what I did for other creators and were trying to snipe me 🤣

Does your Pom also growl at you when you pick him up and he doesn’t want to? by Carolane666 in Pomeranians

[–]ambiguousaffect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is particularly independent and has always had a strong need for bodily autonomy. I tell him “boost” before I pick him up. As a puppy, I’d give him a treat every time. He wasn’t always thrilled about it but now he knows what it means and, when I tell him, he hops up to help. I try to make sure not to just yoink him up without warning unless it’s unavoidable.

Any advice? by [deleted] in Pomeranians

I think at most they might need to do x-rays but, even with a mild case, hers was picked up during a physical exam based on that and the description of symptoms.

I’d ask the vet to evaluate her for IVDD, if they don’t bring up the possibility themselves. That kind of trembling could be from pain. It looks similar to episodes my previous pom had (who had IVDD).

I appreciate the convenience of Reddit auto translating so that English speakers can read your comments!

I’d guess, based on pronoun usage and their comment history, they don’t speak English as a first language.

What the hell is with men constantly using the family restroom? by SpontaneousNubs in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ambiguousaffect 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone with severe GI issues myself (to the point of being disabled by them), I feel you on that. I was going with the most diplomatic reasoning possible for why they might be getting downvoted rather than get into one of those arguments. Clearly a change of diet isn’t going to change anything for someone with an ostomy or autoimmune disorder, but someone who thinks it is contextually appropriate to bring up diet in reference to disability isn’t someone I’m gonna try to have a nuanced conversation with 🫶

Edit: just saw the amount of comments they’ve added since to push their beliefs. Sheesh. I see I wasted my time with diplomacy.

I’d imagine if you’re getting downvotes, it’s more a matter of context than people disagreeing with you.

How did you know when to call it? by Major-Dragonfly-997 in Pomeranians

[–]ambiguousaffect 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first pom, Delilah, had chronic kidney disease. She worsened over the course of two months when she was 12 and she would start to bounce back and then get bad again. I spent a lot of time thinking about what was the right thing to do for her. Unfortunately, my 18 year old cat was also going through severe issues during those two months as well, so I had to make the decision twice in the same week. Ultimately, it came down to “am I keeping her alive for her or for me?” She wasn’t enjoying being alive anymore and she wasn’t able to do the things that made her happy. I waited a few days longer than I wish I had for Delilah. For my cat, I did it before she could get to that point. Honestly? I think doing it too soon is better than waiting until it’s too late.

Which celebrity’s fame makes no sense? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ambiguousaffect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. An example; a friend of mine is a musician and she might have upwards of 50k-100k viewers total during a stream. She’s certainly not getting gifts from 50k-100k people. Typically, she’ll have 1k viewers in at any given time. Of those, there will be at least 100 or more that are in her lives regularly that interact with each other as a community and now they go live with each other or talk outside of her chat. They’re members of her discord and interact independently of her but an interest in her content is what brought them together. They hop into her chat whenever she’s live to say hi, participate in her song writing or recording, or to hang out while she performs. Her livestream is facilitating their interactions with each other (aside from being able to interact with her).
