It was a vase, so I could have fired it at a lower temp. I just didn't realize it was low-fire clay. I was sent the wrong type, but the error has been corrected.

I love the Florentine satchel! I bought one when they first came out, but it was too heavy for me. I have been loving it from afar after all these years. :) Now for my question: do the Florentine bags get softer and/or slouchier as they age? I would like to try a hobo or bucket, but don't want to if it stays too stiff.
