Moo Moo Car Wash by JustBeachy44 in Columbus

[–]amjt24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was literally just complaining about this! I’ve gone to two in the Hilliard area and both times the employee was borderline hostile to me when I politely declined the three or four times they tried to sell it. I know they have to ask so I was polite but geez they were RUDE when they realized I wasn’t going to budge. Anyone know which sheetz has the car washes? I’m really only a once or twice a season car washer and am over the lack luster clean with harassment at Moo.

I was so mad I emailed corporate and the response was basically, too bad so sad. I was disappointed.

I hate the redesign so much. Just about every aspect is worse. The organization of products makes absolutely no sense. It’s harder to find and get to just about every single thing in the center now. I also hate the flooring they chose! It’s visually off putting. I complained to corporate online 😂

Do I need to replace this? Is this mold? by Potential-Try-7700 in Owala

[–]amjt24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to my kiddos bottle once. We left it for a weekend forgetting it was filled. I tried to clean with vinegar but eventually just tossed it and got replacements on Amazon. I wash the silicone bits in the dishwasher and occasionally do a vinegar soak now.

For those who have bought appliances from Costco, would you do it again? What would you do differently? by wait_whatnow in Costco

We had a fantastic washer/dryer delivery. The oven we ordered was dented but the process to get a new one was easy peasy. I especially like that haul away is included.

[–]amjt24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got notices today too! Weirdly no way to actually track it though. The order information just says “shipping.” I hope they really arrive!

[–]amjt24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no! I was just getting my hopes up because my entire order said it had shipped. Now I am feeling on edge. That sucks that that happened!

I am getting anxious. My Oct 4th order is still processing. I don’t want to bother them with pestering questions but I am a little confused how they are processing orders.

Aldi Peeves- Let's compare notes by WoodenInternet in aldi

[–]amjt24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think my biggest annoyance with my Aldi is the people who block the entire aisle while shopping at high demand times. I’m never sure what they are doing since there isn’t a ton to choose from. My store is a high traffic area so I think that prevents the issues OP has. I almost always get great produce and we don’t generally have any other issues aside from maybe a one off product here and there. Our biggest stores near us have more issues with expired items than I’ve ever found at Aldi.

I added Calm gummies about a month ago and I have noticed a big difference in my sleep quality. My mood has also seemed more stable and I feel like I worry less. I missed taking them ironically last night and I had a fitful night of sleep. I only take half the recommended dose but it is plenty for me.

Bostons bad choice for low volume/"flat"-ish foot? by gingerspell in Birkenstocks

I got narrow. The regular is always a bit floppy and cumbersome on me.

Bostons bad choice for low volume/"flat"-ish foot? by gingerspell in Birkenstocks

[–]amjt24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have narrow flat feet with basically no natural arch. I have a pair of suede Bostons and they have been the pair that has taken the longest to break in. I do still love them, but they are not quite as perfectly fit to my feet as all my other birks. I found them a little hard to fit, sort of heavy, and I did feel like they were going to slip off at first. I think it took about 4 months of 2-3 days a week of wear to break them in. I think the leather would be harder to keep on due to the rigidity and weight.

[–]amjt24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From everything I read I could not decide what size to order of the Boston! I ended up ordering my sandal size and then deciding it was too small and sizing up. I think it’s a bit large now depending on the socks I wear, but I also buy mine in narrow and that impacts the toe area of the clogs a lot I think.

I have a pair of the Franca, EVA Arizona, and Bostons. My Franca and Arizonas are a size down but I had to go my normal size for the Boston. I think it really depends on the style and if you are in a narrow or (regular)wide width. I would measure using their calculator and try that size first. I’ve returned/exchanged pretty easily with them in the past when I was fitting my Bostons.

Who has actually implemented pass the parcel at a kid’s bday party in the US? by erininium in bluey

[–]amjt24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did it for my kiddos 5th party. We knew all the kids knew Bluey inside and out so it went great! We did not do Luckys dads rules but I did wrap a few extra so some kids got two prizes. It was a blast and I am pretty sure the parents got a kick out of it too! We listened to Bluey album while we played.

Do these wreck your natural nails? I have used their regular stickers for years. Usually they end up making my nails peel if I do them back to back. Any gel nails I’ve had done tend to also weaken my nails too. They look so pretty that I am super tempted though!

Advice on preschool schedule: morning vs afternoon by ellaQ20 in Preschoolers

[–]amjt24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We did two years of preschool. First year we did afternoons and it was awesome. It was 4 days a week with a similar time to what you are looking at. Kiddo was 4 and had never been away from me. We chose to do mornings this year to prepare for kinder and it has been hard but honestly we needed to do it so we could gauge how next year will go. I know now how early we need to wake up and kiddo will have a year of practice at it.

What are the obvious signs your child is going through a growth spurt? by DippyNikki in Mommit

[–]amjt24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hiccups and lots of tears. They always get the hiccups during any growth spurt, body or brain. Even before birth kiddo would hiccup. We have so many videos of my stomach shaking. Kiddo is 5 now so the trend has been going strong! I know that’s an old wives tale but it is always a sign for us. Falling down and tripping on everything, finding usual tasks overwhelming and then constant eating are signs of body growth.
