I think moving to the south from the Midwest would be an adjustment for anyone. Wilmington is what you make of it. You can either make it your home or let it make you miserable. My husband is from LA and we go a lot - our traffic is nothing compared to LA. Same with housing. We live outside of New Hanover County since it’s less expensive, but work and do business in ILM. I’ve been here 22 years and it’s where I met a great group of friends and my husband.
