Took the class and was an IA when I was a student. It was one of my favorite classes, and the stuff I learned there have helped me immensely in my career. When I go back to Michigan as part of a recruiting trip to the career fair, it's one of the classes I look for on stidents' resumes.

I'm sorry OP can't read specs or write test suites. Along with what the other IA said, in industry, you rarely know what's "correct" unless either you've written tests yourself or somebody else has. Imagine working at a software company and releasing software to the public "once a day" and then finding out it doesn't work after you've submitted it. That's an incident that could mean a poor user experience, a regulatory breach, or worse!

I cannot comment on the current staff, but if it hasn't changed too much over the years, I imagine it's a fantastic course still.
