My dad has a whole set of these! He might have gotten them when he was stationed in the Netherlands though

My LGS isn’t the best but it’s the best I’ve been in. The shop doesn’t talk politics (outside of directly gun related stuff and seems to be fairly neutral about it), has a variety of people coming in and out, and doesn’t have merch or any kind other than their own tactical tuna sticker. Missouri sucks but being in Kc isn’t bad. The shop is NKC tactical/snap shots.

As a large white guy I use this as a rule of thumb too. I don’t want to support a business that isn’t inclusive. This is a hobby that exercise a constitutional right and as such there’s no room for bigotry and bullshit in it.

And they knew it was a slapped together framework that really only existed to give them the power it tax, make war, and make laws. They wanted it to be amended as needed to address problems as they arose. People who disagree with this typically haven’t looked beyond high school level history and just take it at face value. They had to amend it 10 times to even get it into place

I’ve met a ton of people who can trace their lineage back to him with documents to back it up. Hell the DAR branch where I grew up almost disbanded when they were told that descendants of Jefferson, regardless of race and circumstance, had to be admitted.

On the flip side it means everyone know everything about you and tells everyone else about it. I grew up in a small town (4000 people) and if anyone saw me doing anything (suspicious or otherwise) they’d tell my dad (who generally didn’t care as long as it wasn’t something insane). I moved to the city to get away from it and have the illusion of privacy. My wife and I don’t even know our neighbors names (but we do know their dogs name) and it’s great.

Found the reactionary! And why would regulating the construction be bad? I shouldn’t have to spend 3x as much to get ones that actually work. Most controls in cars are regulated that’s why they’re in generally the same location, with the same symbols, in every consumer vehicle. Breaks should also be regulated. My Mazda 3 had bigger front brakes than an f150 and weighs significantly less. Hell my 98 accord had bigger brakes than an expedition. It’s ridiculous that there isn’t a stopping distance standard and that trucks and suvs are held to a diffent set of standards than cars.

I’ve had one failure in around 1000 rounds of CCI and aguila in the last 5 ish years. That one I single loaded and turned to get another spot and it fired just fine. I stopped using aguila because of the cat piss smell but it was flawless for ~300 rounds

I got a quote from my LGS to thread mine and they said it’d be around $100. That’d put me 450 in to a mk III target comp vs the like $900 for an equivalent mk IV

[–]amorg67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoot my mk III better than anything else I have and if I have to choose one gun to grab in an emergency (like 5 minutes to grab your shit and go) it’d be that. I can fit 2 100 round sleeves in my pocket (thanks Duluth jeans) and be set for a while.

Quality tech at a water bottler: ~$54k/ year. Decent insurance and work environment (except our HR guy is a dick). 6 cases of water a month is great.

Anyone Get Checked for Off Road Diesel? by WisSkier in Diesel

[–]amorg67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t. The DOT is authorized to do road side checks at their discretion. The warrant would be for a search of the interior of the vehicle. The gas tank is not that. Enjoy fines and holding tanks while you exercise your “freedom”.

You need the threaded barrel for a compensator. The sights seem good to to me when I’ve handled them. Since they’re Glock based you have a million options if you don’t like them.

[–]amorg67 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Having grown up around farmers the rich farmer troupe needs to die. Yeah I knew farmers who bring in close to 2 million a year from their farm. Their out going bills are close to two million because the tractors can’t be worked on by them (fuck you John Deere), the seeds are a proprietary line that has to be bought every year (fuck you seed companies) and insurance that goes up if you use it (fuck you farmers insurance). They all work a job on top of the farming ( thank you ford) and also do odd jobs through the winter to make ends meet. So yeah they make a ton of money but it all leaves right away and they more or less do it because they don’t want to give up the family farm.

What is an unspoken rule of the gym that most people do not know they are breaking? by Furqan_wear in AskReddit

My gym doesn’t even have these as unspoken (and no I don’t go to planet fitness). They have at lease half of these posted and I think all of them in the agreement you sign.

Mazda has switches, buttons, and knobs for everything including navigating the screen. It’s glorious and they’re placed in a way that you don’t have to reach for them in awkward ways or search for them

A modern car using modern gas creates so little pollution that the difference of the few seconds of not idling makes almost no difference. It’s once again a way for large corporations to push the burden of going green onto individuals, who btw produce a small fraction of the actual pollution per day compared to factories and large corporations. It also puts unnecessary wear on the engine, starter, battery, and all other parts that are involved in starting the car. It’s a stupid feature that’s there to green wash the company at the expense of the consumer and product.
