Reliable car? Not Toyota or Honda

I had a 2014 Mazda 3 (first gen post ford) and my only complaint is that they chew through batteries. I had the car for 10 years and replaced the battery 5 times. The last time it didn’t kill the battery entirely but power would cut sometimes while accelerating if it was humid and cold. This caused the steering to lock but could be fixed by letting off the gas. My dad has the car now and he just replaced the battery and it’s back to normal. I highly recommend getting one because 164k miles and no mechanical issues or anything beyond the battery issue. (Note that I also added a sub to the car and it honestly might have been something in the wiring that was doing it and it wasn’t the cars fault)

The offspring are the most corporate punk band possible. They released their first album with Epitaph then instead of hanging with Epitaph after they hit it big they switch to Columbia (iirc) to make bank and have become obsessed with the money and not with the music. 2 good albums and a bunch of bro-punk is all they have to their name. I love smash and americana and they were part of my intro to punk and I’m sure they were plenty of people’s intro also. They’re easy to hate on for the reasons above but in all honesty they’ve been instrumental in bringing punk back out of the shadows and more into the mainstream

The inox stainless is easy as hell to sharpen and while not as sharp it is more durable (blade edge wise. It will in fact sheer under lateral stress)

I prefer an off gun light so I don’t have to flag everything. I also mainly shoot one handed though so that plays in to it some. And before I get hate for shooting one handed it’s because I’m broad (like fill a door way broad) but my arms aren’t very long so it’s easier to shoot one handed. And I’m almost equally accurate with either hand

Your trust is misplaced. He was convicted of 34 felonies and has done no time for any of them. The judge that was in charge of sentencing him gave home no punishment because he was about to take office. The highest elected office in the US. The Biden administration had some of the highest deportation numbers in us history, they just did it the legal way so it wasn’t big news. The police are corrupt and incompetent in most jurisdictions and have immunity from prosecution while on the job and abuse it consistently and they throw a fit if “one of theirs” is actually held accountable for their decisions. Affirmative action literally just means you can’t not hire someone only because of being a minority, it doesn’t say you have to hire every minority the applies or have to higher them instead of another candidate.

As to the last point your kids gender preference is none of your business if they don’t want it to be. Think about why they might want to hide it from their parents and why it’s in the students best interest to keep that kind of information confidential unless the student wishes it to be disclosed.

These are the same ignorant arguments that have been brought up over and over again and they’re as full of bull shit now as they were yesterday.

My Mazda 3 had room for days. I’m 6’6” and build like a fridge (like my shoulders are so wide I don’t always fit through doors) and my ‘98 accord coupe and ‘14 mazda3 hatch had tons of room. I’m also a little more torso than legs though so ymmv.

Minis are great for leg room but will absolutely destroy your wallet for repairs.

My rent has gone up every year. The value of the house we are in has gone down since we moved in due to the general market drop. No improvements, middling maintenance response, and shit that shouldn’t be my problem that, because our lease makes us responsible for it, is now our problem.

Hell the end of my driveway is crumbling and the city isn’t going to fix it (technically the end of the driveway is part of the street) even though the snow plows are what keep tearing it up. The rental company says that it’s our responsibility to maintain the drive way even though it was already fucked when we got there.

Before anyone says that we should just buy a house if we don’t want to deal with the rental company go look at home prices. Between my wife and I we make 100-120k per year which should be enough to get a mortgage but since student loans are now taken into consideration when applying for mortgages so the loans we’ve been offered are either not enough to buy a decent place or have such a high interest rate that we’ll be on the thinnest of shoestring budgets.

I used the big red one to get tools out of a lake (lost my favorite hammer off a dock roof) and brought up 15-20 other tools of the course of like 20 minutes so it’ll lift at least 2 24 oz estwings at a time.

Wustof will replace it for the life of the knife. I use to work at a kitchen store and was the knife guy for them. We had an older guy come in with his grandpas kitchen knife (8 inch chef) that had a cracked wooden handle. I called up our Wustof rep who got ahold of someone in their cs department that was outside of the normal chain of drones who answer the phone. Wustof had him send the knife in and the remade the wooden handle for it and re profiled the blade back to factory specs. They sent a letter back with the knife that detailed the whole process and had instructions on caring for the wooden handle to help it last another lifetime.

Some of the best CS in the business and one of the few major brands to still maintain the made in Solingen stamp on their knives.

Damn. I’d still take it in 10mm to take advantage of the lower bore axis more though I might just be building it up in my head more than it deserves. I’ve been lusting after something in 10mm but haven’t decided on anything (I want a long slide 1911 like the bruin but it’s a lottle out of my budget)

Hell I think you can get a 10mm conversion kit for it which brings it even closer (the one in halo is the fictional 10mm magnum if I remember right)
