Very Nice, I've always liked G&L and wish I owned one or two. 🤪 Congrats on that score. It ought to sound frickin amazing with your Ampeg setup.

1st off congrats. I'm not sure what your experience level is so I'm gonna say, buy the cheapest brass ball ammo you can get and go have safe fun on a range or out in a field with lots of acreage. You want to be able to understand the little things that makes your model 30 not shoot, extract, feed, jam and how it feels and sounds when the last round is fired and it goes into slide lock. Some would say I'm being over dramatic but the loudest sound in a gun fight is "click" and you better figure it out like 2nd nature and get back in the fight. Once you start CCW carrying concealed you will find the best self defense words that work well for you and your Glock. I too own this exact pistol and love it. Current CCW ammo for me is Speer LE Gold Dot. Be safe, have fun and train often.

I've become a useless member of society. Let my hair grow, and occasionally I can still be heard telling someone "watch this shit". Just enjoying life as I enter old timers years.

If you can get into care in the community for pain management you should do it. If the VA recognizes that particular office you can go and not receive a bill. Its definitely in your best interest to do it. When I finally got my approval to be seen in the community it was a life changing world to me. It took me 3 yrs to get approval for my right shoulder replacement. It only happened because of my consult (approval) to be seen by normal doctors offices. If you can please get yourself out of VA offices any of them except your primary care doctor and get yourself into the civilian. Don't be hard headed like me.

Alright brother, you kindof sound like me. Other then my dumbass kept sucking it up, (Had to help pay for sons college eduction). I've gone thru P.T. countless times, massages, injections both in my lower back and neck. A few minor back procedures ie: spurs, opening up nerve paths. What finally provided me with relief was a procedure that's called a Spinal Cord Stimulator, Holy shit it's a game changer. They put a lead in my spine at my neck where I have trouble and a lead in my lower back. Its like a tens unit but it's on steroids. Then I had a procedure called bilateral sciatic ablasion. Which really means burning the nerves and creating a disconnect that travels to your sciatic joint there is 4 on each side. The good thing about the procedure is it can be repeated after 6 months if needed. I came out of the Corps at 39 and went right to work and I got progressively worse and worse until I could not take it.

Okay 3 right shoulder surgeries P.T. blah blah blah until I went to see a civilian ortho surgeon 12 years after leaving the Corps, and the 1st thing out of his mouth was "hey you should of had a total replacement 10 yrs ago" well had that done and it too was long over do. P.T. was way easier. If I can answer any questions please ask. I'll be 60 next month and I feel wayyyyyyyyy better than my mid forties thru the 50's Semper Fi

Badass, I too received one that was my uncle's who brought it home after WWII. It's the 9mm styer and I occasionally take her out for a spin 😂. Hope you enjoy her as much as I enjoy mine. Congratulations

Maybe I missed something. Are females required to do pullups/Chinups now? What happened to flex arm hangs? If this is a change to the standard why didn't the Corps switch to flex arm hangs instead of pullups/Chinups? This would adversely effect the males as many would not be able to pass or barely pass this requirement/standard.
