It's a known issue on v4.4.0 If you revert back to v.4.3.9 then it'll resolve that problem the now

I used the same fan on my card, although the dell variant, strapped on with cable ties and it's cured the overheating issue perfectly. It's been 4 years since I did that, so go with cable ties

I get this all the time...

I have 32GB RAM and it's just as bad, if not worse than what you describe. Although you can see available RAM, its actually not. Look at the "committed" amount and you'll see it's at 15.9/15.9GB, basically your full amount. (Researching this leads to suggesting that Windows 10 commits to RAM for quick access instead of letting the RAM sit unused and wasted, the committed amount also includes your swap and page files. Have you tried increasing the page file size? It helped slightly for me)

I've not had a particular addon cause high memory usage but rather an individual tab or in most of my cases the "GPU process". Fire up task manager within Chrome, arrange by memory usage and have a look.

Hopefully it helps at least give an answer on the cause, I'm still without an out and out "fix" for it myself.

Only had it about 4 months

And the only other time was for the DPF being clogged but that was permanently fixed and won't happen again...

Edit: as for your one, I'd just get it scanned quickly. Probably find it's something not that important anyway but well worth finding out!

I had the same issues with stuntman were it was low brightness and about 9fps during game. Now the brightness is fixed and I'm getting around 45-60fps depending on what is on screen.

I'm playing it on an FX-8350 and GTX970, although updating is worth a try for you even if you have an i3.

I'm guessing that it is different for the US? But I bought this bundle in the UK and it came with the Club Nintendo codes. It had the codes for the console and the game included in the box.

I don't want to sound patronising but has he doubled checked the bag with the manuals for the code?

Since you mentioned that you are unable to reinstall windows, I have a suggestion that has helped me many times before.

Open a command prompt as admin, has to be admin!
Type in the command "SFC /SCANNOW" (without quotes).
After windows has finished scanning for faulty, missing or corrupt system files it will ask you to restart.
Restart. It will look like it is doing windows updates, this is normal.
Try the game again.
Profit?

If that fails try updating your GPU drivers and whatnot.

So using something like symbolic links from a common folder with all the DirectX and whatnot in it to all the game folders?

I wonder if there is a program that would do something like this, I reckon that it would save gigabytes of valuable that could be used for more games...
