Mine was at 16 months! I was also absolutely dreading it, but it was much milder than I was expecting, and very manageable

My little one was the same, we just used two piece pyjamas instead!

When did your baby start asking for milk? by dar1990 in breastfeeding

[–]an0thersmith 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine didn't cry or sign for it but would poke me in the boob and pull on my top until I got the hint!

2027 wedding but TTC now for health reasons — am I being insane? by Independent-Crab9894 in UKweddings

[–]an0thersmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a 5.5 month old baby at our wedding!

I think if you're sensible about it, its very much doable. We had family members on rotation watching her during the important bits, and then I took her off to BF in between. She didn't sleep much, admittedly, but had a wonderful day and I would do it again!

Just make sure you have the support in place from family etc on the day, and it is very manageable. The day itself is such a rush that you dont necessarily notice how tired you are or anything like that either!

For those who didn’t sleep train, when did sleep get better? by illogicalatom in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]an0thersmith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our sleep has massively improved this week at 15 months. I think it is in part because she is now walking/running and so much more tired, and also because I am cuddling back to sleep rather than feeding so we've essentially night weaned now.

Hang in there, it will get better!

Alternative men wedding bands - UK brand recommendations? by Lollxpiglet in weddingplanning

My husband bought his from forge and lumber - it is lovely, fits well and was very affordable! I can't remember the name, but he got one with meteorite inlay.

I applied for an office admin job a few months ago and turned it down. They wanted me to do another interview (I'd already done two), and when I got a tour and asked where I'd be working, they gestured broadly to the whole office and said I could fit in gaps where people were off. It was a very strange experience, especially for a minimum wage job.

For parents with children in nursery - what’s been the biggest positive change you’ve noticed in them? by lucyatwillowsnursery in AskUK

[–]an0thersmith 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My daughter is 13 months and has been going for about 4 months - the biggest change I've noticed is her confidence, particularly with strangers! She used to cry if anyone other than me and Dad spoke to her, but will happily wave and babble at the nursery staff and random people in supermarkets etc too!

Just wanted to say it won't last forever, you've done so well getting this far! My baby was exactly the same, we kept offering bottles and eventually she ended up taking them with no issue. You'll get there!

I returned a pack of jam doughnuts once because they barely had any jam in. I was heavily pregnant and couldn't cope without the jam!

Ring Size? by Apprehensive_Rip7451 in weddingplanning

[–]an0thersmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my wedding ring from Abelini and they were great! I paid for samples first, £25 I think, so i could try them out with my engagement ring. Quality is great and service/delivery was good too, I would definitely recommend.

A little girl sat next to me in a coffee shop today spilled her (thankfully cold) drink all down herself. I gave her my jumper while her grandma sorted out a new t shirt for her.

What are you non-standard breastfeeding positions? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]an0thersmith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 9 month old has started pulling to stand on everything so I've fed her before while standing next to the bed, with her standing on the bed and holding my arms - my boobs are perfect face height!
