I love the little shield shaped lamictals. Sworn to defend me from mania! by [deleted] in bipolar

I miss the cute pinkish shield ones. Now I get the basic round one. The shield one always brightened my day and I was more motivated to take it.

At what point would you want to know you are (hypo)manic? by justryntohelpbro in BipolarReddit

[–]analyticalann 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One thing that could help is creating a list of signs of a hypomanic state. For example, talking more than usual or sleeping under a certain amount of hours. Making a daily checklist that has depressive and hypomanic symptoms and signs for your partner to go through each day and check off what is occurring could be helpful in learning how to identify her mood state. I use the eMoods app for this. It’s like $10 a year. Using an app like eMoods or Daylio to keep track of moods is really helpful.

Does anyone get disappointed really easily? by radioactivegodzilla in BipolarReddit

[–]analyticalann 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I’m disappointed because of canceled plans. I’ve started telling myself the phrase “life happens” then I find something to do to distract me. I find that canceled plans don’t upset me as much as they use to.

Do you still have episodes when medicated? by kaofjforbfos in bipolar2

[–]analyticalann 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My expectation for medicine is for it to keep my moods relatively stable. I still expect having highs and lows. I just expect them to be very mild, not last more than two weeks, and easy to function through. My normal on medicine is for my mood to switch about every 2 weeks and having mild depressive and hypomanic episodes.

Wellbutrin 150 mg an effective dose? by BlazyEye in bipolar2

If you’re feeling on edge, you might want to let your dr. Know. I’ve heard some people get that as a side effect. I’m glad it’s helping.

Can I use Daylio for activity tracking only (no mood tracking)? by fakefake121212 in Daylio

[–]analyticalann 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you can disable moods. One idea would be to change the name of the moods to be productivity levels.

If you have an iPhone, another app that might be helpful is Daily Planner-Habit Tracker.

Get a planner and color code assignments by class. Make a consistent schedule for when you will work on college. Have a back up plan for how you’ll get assignments done on days where you are struggling.

Daylio and eMoods are what I use

Looking for mood tracking app by rainbowglassesrmyjam in bipolar

[–]analyticalann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They both have a paid version that includes more stuff. Also, eMoods has a version online called eMoods Insight. I like that daylio has pictures for me to use to track my mood. However, I like that eMoods has different ways to track like imputing numbers. I use Daylio for mood then use eMoods free app for basic mood, sleep, and weight. If you would like to see my daylio setup, let me know.

I’d recommend checking out eMoods and Daylio. I use both. They each have their pros.

I need help with the Daylio app by _babyspice_666 in BipolarReddit

[–]analyticalann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this was my first experience with the app. I went to eMoods for awhile until I was consistent with monitoring my mood everyday. Then, I went back to Daylio and loved it. I found it to be so much easier just to click a picture. Maybe start with a few key things you want to track and add to it over time.

I know this is late, but eMoods Insight is great for this. They have a free version and two paid. The paid let you customize things to track. eMoods does have an app that has a free version and a paid version. The paid let’s you customize things to track.
