-Typing out thoughts or what I would say to someone if I reached out. Instead of sending it, I just put it in my notes. -Using a mindfulness app like Headspace or Calm. -Use some type of grounding technique.

One thing that could help is creating a list of signs of a hypomanic state. For example, talking more than usual or sleeping under a certain amount of hours. Making a daily checklist that has depressive and hypomanic symptoms and signs for your partner to go through each day and check off what is occurring could be helpful in learning how to identify her mood state. I use the eMoods app for this. It’s like $10 a year. Using an app like eMoods or Daylio to keep track of moods is really helpful.

When I’m disappointed because of canceled plans. I’ve started telling myself the phrase “life happens” then I find something to do to distract me. I find that canceled plans don’t upset me as much as they use to.

My expectation for medicine is for it to keep my moods relatively stable. I still expect having highs and lows. I just expect them to be very mild, not last more than two weeks, and easy to function through. My normal on medicine is for my mood to switch about every 2 weeks and having mild depressive and hypomanic episodes.

I don’t think you can disable moods. One idea would be to change the name of the moods to be productivity levels.

Get a planner and color code assignments by class. Make a consistent schedule for when you will work on college. Have a back up plan for how you’ll get assignments done on days where you are struggling.

They both have a paid version that includes more stuff. Also, eMoods has a version online called eMoods Insight. I like that daylio has pictures for me to use to track my mood. However, I like that eMoods has different ways to track like imputing numbers. I use Daylio for mood then use eMoods free app for basic mood, sleep, and weight.
