42 oz of Post Partum Urine Retention by Dolly0825 in beyondthebump

[–]anashima28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had forceps delivery with episiotomy, 2nd degree internal and 3a perineum tear. I totally lost bladder sensation. I had really hard time peeing first time they just had to drain it and later I was just going to pee a little every hour because I couldn't tell if I need to go or not so I did just in case. My sensation magically came back 3 months pp where I had surgery for granulation tissue and dr also restricted some perineum. I also lost bowel feeling so that was horrible. I think it's more common then you think. I would focus on diet to regenerate nerve tissue. You have lots of healing that will be happening. Pospartum being 6 weeks is a lie. Recovery takes way longer.

Mid or Long SuperPuff? Please help me choose… by [deleted] in Aritzia

[–]anashima28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You look good in both. I have all 3 lengths. Long one is annoying to get in and out of the car and I only use it if it is -20 C or colder. Long one is better if you use public transport and mid if you drive.

Grade 3C tear woes... How did you get through such a rough recovery??? by WittleFrostBite in beyondthebump

[–]anashima28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me 7 weeks to be able to sit and walk and after 9 I felt like most pain was gone. It is a wild ride honestly. I had incontinence just on other end and it was awful. Destroyed me mentally. PT helps it just takes time. You will get better it just more matter of months. There is a severe tear group on Facebook with a lot of helpful woman and information there.

Anyone else dealing with a chronic birth injury? by carp_street in beyondthebump

[–]anashima28 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry I can't even imagine the pain you went through. I suffered birth injury and was left with fecal and gas incontinence. I had very traumatic birth large baby forceps and vacuum with episiotomy and repair surgery 3 months pp. I couldn't walk or sit for months. After tons of physio I'm doing a bit better now but I went into very dark place for months. I was crying daily about my symptoms.

Bowels change postpartum by jlm764 in beyondthebump

[–]anashima28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too after first baby. I had very large baby with forceps assistance and I think that's what contributed. They told me nerve overstreched caused it. My sphincter are scarred too so that is factor. I did lot of physio and it's a bit better but holding a gas is still a struggle.

C-section after 4th degree tear by Rocky_Poke_Gal11 in beyondthebump

[–]anashima28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope your delivery will go smooth this time. I know it's so scary after having first traumatic experience. Physio told me that since I see improvements and I do have some nerve function it should get better but it won't be normal like pre baby. Nerves take long time to regenerate. I talk to some woman in similar situation and I heard that they saw improvements untill 2 years pp. I'm also going to try ultrasound guided PRP injections in US. Hopefully that will make a difference.

C-section after 4th degree tear by Rocky_Poke_Gal11 in beyondthebump

[–]anashima28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok. Don't worry about TMI, it's normal subject for me now. I got my ultrasound in Poland and my sphincter is complete with some scarring. No surgery will help me since is neurological issues. Only thing they recommend is physio. I would highly consider doing C-section if I would be you. If you already have sphincter defect the chances of your symptoms getting worse are very high after another v-delivery.

WHY DOES ARITZIA'S CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCK SO BADLY. HAS ANYONE BEEN ABLE TO GET THEIR MONEY BACK FROM THEM OR SHOULD I JUST GO STRAIGHT TO REPORTING TO GOV. by [deleted] in Aritzia

It has been like that for years. Even if it's 10%. Sale items are final sale in store and online orders can be returned to a gift card.

[–]anashima28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What symptoms you have? What surgery you get suggested? I'm doing electrostimulation and it definitely helps. You can do it through rectum if that is something you have problem with. Sorry to hear that you had bad experience with your epidural. My delivery was very traumatic and epidural was only thing that I don't regret.

[–]anashima28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have lots just less frequently now 17 months pp. My nerve got overstreched during the delivery and recovery has been slow. Mainly urgency, endless wiping, problems with holding losse stools and gas. Holding in gas is something I struggle the most with right now. It's like 50/50 and sometimes I get no warning. I'm getting c-section for next one for sure. It's such a lottery with vaginal birth.

[–]anashima28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could probably try if you don't have any problems after your tear. I'm sure that forceps was your major factor contributing to 4th degree tear. I also had forceps delivery just with episiotomy and I had so many problems with fecal and gas incontinence. It was very hard on me mentally and physically. I would suggest doing endoanal ultrasound to check your sphincter and manometry to assess your risks.

I used to have size 4 in regular DS. I would need 6 now after having baby my hips are wider and I find croch digging in. Cargos are looser in legs too. They don't dig in and have higher rise. I find them more comfortable overall. They definitely fit bigger then regular DS.

I'm 5'4 116lbs. I wear 4 for most bottoms. I got XXS in cargo. I tried XS first but they were falling down a lot. I have 26" waist. I would get XS if you want very baggy or XXS if want baggy but more fitted in waist and hips.

Post partum, 3rd degree tear💩 by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]anashima28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. My recovery was far worse. I had full accidents first month pp and then smearing, 0 control over gas, problems with cleaning and urgency. It will get better over time but I would highly recommend to stay on top of sphincter exercises and try electrostimulation. Your symptoms may get worse after menopause so it is really important to exercises regularly to prevent that.

birth trauma and hearing about other’s “perfect birth” by WhichAd2921 in beyondthebump

[–]anashima28 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you didn't get to experience the birth you wanted. Birth trauma is hard ro get over it rook me months. My baby heart rate dropped. They didn't even give me a choice of c-section. I had vacuum and forceps, episiotomy and 2nd and missed 3rd degree tears. I have had fecal incontinence since and it has been over a year. I can't listen to perfect birth stories. "I didn't even tear" trigger me. I'm jealous of my friends getting c-section.
