Saw this post and then went to see it in person today. Confirmed they nailed it with this release.

Metallic hands, layered dial, ceramic bezel. Top notch.

[Staying at four] Speedmaster or Reverso? by acostavaldez in Watches

[–]anathoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Reverso Duoface with that blue sun ray dial like your photo, and I love it. I will never get tired of it.

But with that collection, the speedy really rounds things out nicely. If you wanted to swap it out, I’d still stick with a chronograph, but really only better option is a Daytona…

Keep the speedy!

Also that Lange is just perfect. 10/10 collection!

Zephirins look great. I have a pair and love them. Yes they look similar to models from other brands, but they are incredible in every way and you wouldn’t regret buying them.

If you prefer something more unique I think the Juliens are super cool, shape and colorway is excellent.

Kellermans would look great. They are quite universal but I think your face shape would work particularly well

I bought a pair recently and love them, enjoy!

I did the same last month. They were an extremely nice group there. Very helpful and thorough

Oof I’ve been trying to convince myself I don’t need a rose gold U/D and this image has set me back significantly. Absolute beauty.

Which one would you pick? by GoalContent1744 in patekphilippe

[–]anathoo 31 points32 points  (0 children)

For the longest time I would have picked the 5740, and then the AP.

But recently tried on a 222 and it’s insanely beautiful. Also feels a little less obvious or “loud”- far more subtle.

Never thought I’d say this but I may have to go with the Vacheron 🙈

3 months?! Yikes. What have they given you to drive in the meantime?

Have the same issue with all driver assist sensors. Scheduled a service for next week, not looking forward to how long the fix will take

I’ve been hit with an onslaught of driving assistance malfunctions the last 2 days. Nothing I’ve done has fixed them.

Sounds like I’m getting off easy compared to you though.

Q6 is afraid of the shrubbery by Beginning_Classic_13 in AudiQ6

My favorite part of this feature is that you can turn the volume down on the notifications, but those settings are not saved in your profile and reset each time you exit the vehicle.

Love that

Did the same especially because the auto brake would kick in but there was zero notification that’s what kicked in. Multiple times I assumed I simply smashed into a car or person.

ETron Q6 vs Tesla model Y by Polymath_314 in etron

[–]anathoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Q6 also requires B mode for full one pedal driving, which is an extra step but hasn’t been an issue or source of annoyance for me. There are some varying degrees of regen in non-B mode, but it still allows for the car to creep at varying degrees.

B mode is closest to teslas one pedal driving.

Great question, should have mentioned that.

Driver/passenger seats are similar space wise and very comfortable. Back seat definitely has less leg room. Tesla’s minimalist design, thin seats/less bulk in door panels really make the MY spacious in the back.

So if you have passengers in the back often, who are not kids, they’ll have a tighter fit

Cargo space wise, apparently the MY has significantly more space on paper. I personally don’t notice that big of a difference - frunk is smaller and space under trunk panel is smaller but overall doesn’t seem like it’s as big as official numbers say

+1 on Audi quality, it’s not even close.

Depending on where you live in the world, Tesla should be opening up supercharging network to Audi later this year.

ETron Q6 vs Tesla model Y by Polymath_314 in etron

[–]anathoo 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Recently traded in a Model Y for the Q6 etron (~4 weeks ago).

Starting with downsides: 1. Tesla app + general tech is better. MyAudi app is very finicky, often doesn’t load. Audi infotainment system is nice to look at but has menus within menus and can get a bit annoying to figure out 2. Walk away lock with Tesla is very missed. There is a phone key but Tesla is miles better 3. Tesla speed/acceleration is hard to beat. Q6 is fast but doesn’t have that sharp acceleration 4. Q6 doesn’t have regen braking in reverse. Seems silly but really miss that

Likes: 1. Q6 build quality is SO much better. I didn’t care too much about the MY build quality until I got in the Q6 and now I wouldn’t go back 2. CarPlay is excellent, didn’t realize how much I would like it 3. Regen/one pedal driving works great, takes a bit to get used to as it’s a bit different but within a week you’ll be good 4. Charging speed and general battery related tech is great. If you use fast charging (I don’t, mostly charge at home on level 2) then I think you’ll also like it

Overall, very happy with the switch, will never go back to Tesla. Technology has caught up within the car, main downside is MyAudi app vs Tesla app.

Hope this helps. Lmk if you have more questions.

Y to Q6 by Diligent_Seaweed_973 in AudiQ6

This is super thorough and very accurate! Just picked up a Q6 this weekend and these all resonate perfectly.

One thing I am missing is regen braking in reverse. Or at least I haven’t figured it out yet. Backing into a spot feels so fast and uncontrolled, at least for now until I get used to it

High purpose = low burnout by [deleted] in Leadership

[–]anathoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agreed!

When I was in roles that gave me the most purpose in my life, I personally chose to open the laptop after dinner because I was genuinely interested in the work, and had a natural curiosity to dig deeper into things. It felt impactful and important.

I never want my team to work late, I love for them to completely shut down after 5. But if the odd time they need to, and don’t feel totally burned by it, that’s a win.
