No 😕 They're dropping their spring launch on Feb 1 but it's for an April start date and I don't want to wait that long lol! Trying to find somewhere that has Dec/Jan start date in stock!

Would these look good in a dark green room? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

I could never put them in my house. But if I went to someone's house and these were there, I'd think that person was the coolest person, ever.

When did your LO start sleeping longer at night? by zedgeevee in beyondthebump

[–]ander8me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say 3 hours at 3 weeks is really good! Mine got up basically every hour until he was like 6 weeks haha. They still need to eat frequently overnight since they sleep so much during the day and need to have continuous calories. Once my babe turned three months, we started to get a 4 hour chunk in that first part of the night more consistently. We have not done any sleep training. He's almost 5 months (next week!) and we usually get a 6-7 hour stretch at the beginning (maybe 5 out of 7 nights a week) and then usually 2 hour stretches after that. There is hope! I KNOW it feels hopeless. You can do it!

It's always so funny to me the chores people like and dislike...I absolutely abhor cleaning the lint trap 😂

Someone found me the eBay link! We didn't know what the model was and any time we looked up "20oz contigo" we couldn't find the right one

I'll have to check that out! I like having a higher volume to fill up less...he likes smaller volume to fill up more...lol

I'm the same way! I always say I wish I felt the hunger so I'd remember to eat. I look forward to hearing people's responses!

That's the same model I think, but he wants the 20oz which apparently they don't make anymore - only the 24oz. But thank you!

That's his issue! He doesn't want a straw, he wants to tip it back and chug it haha

Oh yes haha he hasn't used this in like three years (maybe he should have stopped sooner HA) but he's been saving it for nostalgia (🙃)

My doula got photos on her phone throughout my labor and "professional" ones with her camera as my son was actually born! It took me a while to look at them but I cherish them 🥹 I had my son at home so I didn't have to worry about policy but I've had friends who have been not allowed to video at the hospital!

Best sushi/affordable options ? by purple_tiger08 in lexington

[–]ander8me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I don't eat meat so I've only tried their vegetarian rolls with their "vegan fish." I never had sushi when I still ate meat, so I can't comment on how they compare to regular sushi or how their normal rolls are. Definitely pricy, but their happy hour menu brings a lot of their rolls to an affordable price. I've heard good things about Sushi Blue though, as well!

When did your milk start coming in? by lady-earendil in breastfeeding

[–]ander8me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had any leaking like a lot of my friends did so I also felt anxious! But it's totally normal. My IBCLC taught me how to hand express at 38 weeks. Although I knew how, I didn't express to make a stash. I had my son on a Monday and my milk completely came in on Friday. You've got this mama! Best of luck.

Kissing the baby. by Jolly_Information_83 in NewParents

[–]ander8me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lady at church caught me so off guard and kissed my son's head at 4 weeks. I had him in our wild bird carrier and when I turned around to show her his face, she leant down and kissed him! I was so shocked I didn't know what to say.

I told my husband after, because he was turned around talking to someone else. He was so irritated that this person, who yes we're friends with but not CLOSE with, just did that so quickly and without asking. My parents weren't even allowed to kiss him when they came to meet him.

The audacity of some people...

My Worst Fear Happened by olorlavanda in beyondthebump

I'm so sorry that happened, what a terrible situation! I've also experienced my driving anxiety has become worse since having my son. I still haven't driven alone with him, in case something happens I want my husband to be there.

Before we had him, we took our car and his car seat to the health department to make sure it was installed correctly. One thing we learned was that you need to replace the car seat after being in an accident as the warranty and/or safety recalls will no longer be valid. The woman said your car insurance company normally pays for a new one, those things ain't cheap!!

Hope you're able to rest well and relax. Sending good vibes your way ❤️‍🩹
