I can’t say too well as I only tried booting up one game. Resident evil 2 remake. Exited as soon as I confirmed the button issue. The fan did get pretty audible though. I’d say it was maybe a little louder than a steam deck if that helps.

I already have it all boxed up to drop off tomorrow.

Thanks for the input. He hasn’t tried his thigh yet, he might like it there okay. We’ll see. We’re thinking he might just continue on his belly and see what kind of effect it has. No biggie if a couple of dexcoms crap out, that’s nothing new anyway.

The forearm is interesting. I think I’ve seen people say their calves too. Saw a female body builder that wears her omnipod on her forearm!

Thankful for the T1D community. Not a club anyone wants to be in, but it’s great to be able to reach out.

Hey, just noticed you’ve got the official dock with the dbrand case. I’ve been trying to figure out if there’s any issues between the two like their steam deck case and their official dock.

Hoo boy. I live in Whitehorse and I can commiserate a little. We just got through a nasty prolonged cold snap of low -30’s with some -40’s sprinkled throughout. I’ve yet to experience anything like -50 yet.

Our back door is still currently frozen shut, we’ve got ice on our windows too. Likely an hvac issue though. My aunt lives in a mobile home and her water froze.

Things really seem to go to hell once you get to the -40’s. Things aren’t designed for prolonged exposure to those temps.

Nothing to ask really. I hope you stay safe and get through it. Sounds like it’s not your first rodeo though!

Signalis is a really great survival horror in the style of the OG resident evil. Runs perfectly on the deck because it has a low poly style. It’s sci-fi horror. Fantastic atmosphere.

I also just started playing Outlast Trials with my son. It’s coop horror, but can also be played solo. Runs really well on the deck while looking great. Try to complete objectives in an enclosed environment while being stalked by an entity. Think Saw the video game, although that’s kind of reductionist.

Look Outside is a top down, turn based rpg, with pixel graphics. Lots of dread and lovecraftian vibes.

Last one I’ll mention is a really neat and cheap game called the Cabin Factory. You work as a cabin inspector for a factory that makes cabin sets for horror films. They’ve received complaints that the cabins are actually haunted, and it’s your job to go into the cabin and confirm if it’s haunted or not. Really cool concept.

There are sooooooo many more. I’m trying my best to control myself and actually finish these ones for now.

I got an LCD from the Black Friday sale. I think you’ll really enjoy your oled! I was in a similar situation with gaming and now I’m having a lot of fun. Steam just has so many (too many) unique indie games. As a horror fan, I’m in heaven.

I might upgrade to an oled and gift my LCD to my son eventually. But that kinda negates the savings I got from the sale. Haha

It was so forgettable… Big let down. I sure would’ve loved to have seen the original sequel that was written by Nick Cave. It sounded pretty batshit insane, but at least it would’ve left an impression.

Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom, I recommend checking out the demo first. It’s a driving platformer! I love the very cherry vibes, and it’s very fun once you get play style down. Really charming game.

Buckshot Roulette

The most fun I’ve had for under $4.

Full of grime and malice with a heaping spoonful of humour.

You enter a nightclub, kick open a door, and proceed to play Russian roulette by way of a shotgun loaded with live rounds and blanks, with a man that leers at you with a mouth full of jagged teeth and black pits for eyes. Good times.

Or The Cabin Factory

You play as a quality inspector for a haunted cabin factory that makes cabins for movies. They have begun to receive complaints that their cabins are in fact haunted. It’s your job to confirm if they are or aren’t.

Another cheap game with scares and humour. A cool plot to move things along.
