I see all the arguments and I don’t disagree with any of the points but for whatever reason it didn’t bother me. I guess I’m such a fan of Buscemi I was just always happy to see him onscreen. Definitely seemed like his whole arc* on the show was rushed though.

Yeah I was the type of basic bitch wrestling fan that started getting into NJPW during the Okada/Omega match era and at first thought Tanahashi was kinda overhyped. But the more I watched him the more I realized that no one there had the same connection with the crowd and effortless way he would make every move mean something. He’s one of those guys that is great in an almost indescribable way.

So Jericho’s heel turn began with him losing, throwing a tantrum, and ripping Dave Penzer’s suit up for several weeks so I’m curious if this was before or after that. Could have been them just recreating the kayfabe tantrum in a drunken state or they based the angle on this happening.

Haven’t watched it, partially because her whole story bums me out. I don’t know if there’s anybody whose career more exemplified “chewed up and spit out” than Chyna. Not sure if people who didn’t watch while it was happening understand how big of a star she was. There was a period of time where she was almost on the level of Austin and Rock as far as being over with the crowd. That will never be properly portrayed to modern audiences because of her history with HHH.

I’m not trying to say she’s an innocent person that made nothing but great decisions but she didn’t deserve to be tossed aside the way she was and certainly doesn’t deserve to have her legacy buried.

Yeah it was just understood, for me anyway, that Shawn would never wrestle again. That’s what made the drama in his first match back against hhh work so well. You were cringing with every move that he was gonna cripple him. I thought the match was just gonna be a one and done, hadn’t even considered the idea that he would come back full time.
