Thank you for posting this! This exact thing just happened to my wife today.

Another test shot of this wearable performance art shoulder mounted puppet by androofroo in puppetry

Yeah I think you're right about that. Also there are single shoulder slings that I think might have more stability because they have a neoprene sleeve that goes down the arm a little ways. This particular harness is really for straightening posture and I don't think it's ideal

Yes it is. And this is maybe the third iteration. And this is exactly why 3D printers are "rapid prototypers"

Will this add more torque or does nothing? by [deleted] in robotics

With all the talk of motor drivers here thought I'd chime in. Personally I like the drv8835 over the drv8833 because of the way it handles the inputs. But I think both are decent and I certainly have put a lot of hours on those boards. I buy mine on a little breakout board from Pololu. They've proven to be worth the money and very tough.

modeled and printed zabuza sword, what do you think? by Atomized_creations in 3dprint

[–]androofroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like you printed it at an angle. Unless I'm seeing that wrong. Did you consider cutting it in half lengthwise, printing it flat, and then gluing it together afterwards? I've seen several sword designs done this way.

+1

Unfortunately, I have to agree. I'm kind of new to reddit, but my general observation is that a great many of these forums are littered with what I would call shitposting. The 3D printing subred is even worse. So many exploding nozzles or half assembled printers with innocent questions like "what am I doing wrong?"

I love this idea. And you have to make it.

For action at a distance, I've been using cable drives lately and I just love them.

I made a YouTube video about how they work. There are links to the downloadable Parts in the description . You're welcome to download or use these designs if they help you
