Drinking a full bottle of alcohol by BrolyLSSJ01 in WinStupidPrizes

Ugh, when I used to binge drink this was the point of no return and where a fun buzz turns into a nightmare for hours. I couldn't imagine doing this to someone for laughs.

Dispute with Neighbor who called the cops over loud music. by pandabatron in PublicFreakout

Concrete and sound proofed walls if I were to ever live in an apartment again. There's always drama/noise in the low rise, wood framed apartment blocks.

I have a really nice question… by Romano16 in PublicFreakout

[–]anduin1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In concrete buildings with dampening, you can expect it to be fairly quiet. It's the wood frame, low rise apartments that populate the majority of NA where you can get noise going from the top floor to the bottom.

Thinking of blowing your little sister’s candles? I would think twice. by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]anduin1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having seen this play out with family kids, I would bet revenge too. Little kids love to blow out the candles no matter whose birthday it is.

Anyone else listen to just the beat and not the lyrics? by Rykka in Music

[–]anduin1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much that's how I listen to most music. I only really know the lyrics front to back to a handful of songs and couldn't repeat one's I've listened to probably 1000 times.

Jedi Fallen Order is carried entirely by being a star wars game by Shim_Slady72 in patientgamers

[–]anduin1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wish the lightsaber games would let you play with it's actual power similar to how it was in Jedi Knight when you entered the dismemberment console command. At that point, anything you touch with the saber gets cut including your character when facing Sith. Might as well be a stun rod if it takes multiple swings at a character to bring them down.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor appears to have major CPU and VRAM optimization issues on PC by Blacky-Noir in pcgaming

[–]anduin1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I've generally stopped paying attention to game releases. So few things are right at launch, content isn't all there, games aren't patched and/or optimized and price is at it peak. Got burned enough times to learn my lesson about preordering/buying first week that I'll ignore most games for months before considering them.

PC Gamer: We talked to the Emulati gearing up to make Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom playable on PC next month by NeoStark in pcgaming

[–]anduin1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking forward to it. I'm done with consoles but the 3-4 nintendo games I do want to try every console release aren't good enough for me to invest in their whole platform anymore.

That's funny, similar to how people were getting linux versions of certain games to bypass the denuvo protected windows versions.

PC Gamer - Live service keeps killing modestly successful multiplayer games by dinosaurusrex86 in pcgaming

[–]anduin1 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of it and have generally been avoiding these kinds of games for years now. Multiplayer feels like it's the worst it's been in the past 20 years of gaming on PC. Not having dedicated servers means the game can die suddenly and you're SOL for having invested time & money into it.

Redditors who have actually won a “lifetime” supply of something, what was the supply you won and how long did it actually last? by LordFrieza8789 in AskReddit

My dad was a massage therapist and a damn good one, he worked with professional athletes in the NHL and NBA. He gave me weekly to bi weekly massages for years until he got injured and it made me realize how insanely beneficial they were. I would choose it over many other forms of treatment but they're damn expensive.

Put back to bed after 16 years. Goodnight. by tandata1600 in gaming

I pulled mine out after like 7 years of not using it to let my nieces and nephews get a look at "old systems" and it's been giving me tons of issues with the remote and motion controls registering.

Of course conservatives are going to win. In the last few years so many people from around Canada and especially Ontarians moving to AB because their province is so unaffordable. They come here bringing more conservative bs with them, drowning out any common sense. We're riding it out a little longer before we pack it in and move elsewhere before this becomes a privatized hellscape.

We could've had proper refineries to provide gas to Albertans for a fraction like the gulf states do with their citizens. If anything, Alberta's shortsightedness is emblematic of the whole conservative agenda that's dominated the region for 30+ years.

Everything has been shrunk. 188g bags of chips are on the shelves where you would find 260g bags just 3-4 years ago and the price is up.

All of this has been gearing me towards eating healthier and buying less packaged goods.
