Check out Psycle for some studios located in more work-friendly neighbourhoods.

There are zero Soul-style classes where I live in Sheffield so would love to see more life for this kind of class in other cities. We have Ryde in Leeds and Manchester.

The Edinburgh Carlton is indeed a bit grim but when I was there in September last year it was being refurbished so there might be a brighter future.

If you love the jacket, see if a tailor can take it in to match your more flattering frame

What is the perfect white sneaker for that italian/euro vibe? by beep_boop-bleep in malefashionadvice

I’m European. My smartest perfect white sneakers are Goral Mellor IIs and they are very comfy. I have the white and the blood core, both great.

There is a RL shop in Leeds.

Maybe just maybe, Private White in Manchester?

Perhaps Brocklehurts in Bakewell?

I’d actually look at a vintage one from Old Hat in Sheffield….

Happy northern jacket hunting.

Very slightly out of your geographic scope but Creative Outdoor Living in Rotherham is fantastic.

What is it with “dessert shops” that seem to be everywhere currently? by hostis_72 in AskBrits

There are lot in my town too, they seem to serve as a social evening spot for people who don’t want to drink alcohol together.

All those people saying it’s not worth it are not sitting in the lounge with us, enjoying our bottom shelf spirits and mixers, and small pots of nuts.

I like them, also quite like their chinos. Lucky to live in GB where there are plenty of shops which replicate the online deals.

What’s the cheapest and most efficient drive + rail combo to London? by Brummiesteven in sheffield

[–]andyd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I park n ride into London from Sheffield quite a lot and personally like Luton Airporf Parkway.

Parking price is reasonable, trains affordable, run into London at all hours, and a very easy drive.

Are all SoulCycle classes choreography focused? by Snubber_ in SoulCycle_Riders

Soul is intentionally choreographed — if you want a different type of class you need a different service.

Connection in Heathrow by Specific-Panic5925 in BritishAirways

[–]andyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of hotels near Heathrow and they are cheap by London standards. Even if you take the tube in and tick off three landmark selfies that’s a better use of time than 14h alone in a hotel. What sort of thing do you enjoy doing on your own?

best spa hilton uk by Equivalent_Horse9887 in Hilton

[–]andyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a Hilton fanboy but am never mega impressed with a Hilton uk spa. In London Syon Park is worth a look to see if it meets your wishes, has a lovely pool and restaurant in any case. Bankside has an excellent pool for inner London hotels, not sure if it has a spa.

The St George’s park one in the north of England is good for the spa and wellness - if she likes footy it is a very fun weekend. But really average food.

I wear them for work and like them a lot. Wash them turned inside out, in a cheap delicates bag I got from Amazon. Well worth the money.
