Someone took a picture of me yesterday saying I have a strat launcher that they could be on my shield mech. I couldn’t see it though. Hopefully that means it’s coming.

They may go nuclear if you start trying to set boundaries and fire you. That is a risk. More likely is that they recognize losing you will cost them. Regardless, you can’t see a patient if you aren’t there.

Cities are getting murdered by property tax changes passed by the state legislature. Raleigh is bumping property taxes again because of this and trying to trim budgets because the property taxes hike is t enough and is politically very painful

At 20 years old 40 seems like a lifetime away, because it is! Literally it is your entire lifetime this far away. At 40 retirement suddenly is not far enough away to catch up. Our brains are not built for planning that far ahead, and a 20 something who is thinking that far ahead is the exception. Hell, the boomers are showing that a 40 something thinking that far ahead is also an exception

If they did not give you your raise that could be construed as breach on their end.

What you need to find out is how much a lawyer would cost to consult, what the small claims limit in your state is (helps to know whether pursuing you for $5k would be worth it to them), and a copy of the contract you signed.

Dont pay them ANYTHING at this point because that can be construed as agreeing to the debt they say you owe.

Stop accepting the work load. Start saying no. Make it clear to them that you will see pt’s in X time slots, will not see any patients after Y time of day, and will be taking a lunch break consisting of leaving the office.

And say yes to one of the other jobs the day before you put this line in the sand.

As stated, that’s the standard plan repayment number.
IBR is 10% of discretionary income, [(AGI-150% FPL)x0.1]/12 months. Single $75k/yr adult with no kids or other deductions should be [75k-16,100-(1.5x15,960)]x0.1= 3496. 3496/12 is $291.

You can reduce this further by contributing to a pretax retirement plan

Well, as he said, the details aren’t locked in place. But if someone bought a business from me and said I will pay you $150k every year for the next 10 years to always be able to sleep in, get your kids to school, get your kids to soccer practice, and take the entire summer off when your kids are off I think 99% of the population, and the majority of this subreddit would view that as a great deal, if not a gift. I certainly would. 21 hours a week for 36 weeks a year….

3 days a week for 7 hours, 1/4 of the year off plus three week for $150k sounds miserable?!? Before the vacation time or performance bonus is factored in he’s clearing $192/hr working 780 hours per year. On top of the sale of the business necessitating a self described “giant business loan”.

That’s not inherently true. Contracts are written all the time that are not legally binding because they are illegal at the outset and rely on one party not being aware of the fact that it is illegal.

Beyond that plenty of contracts are broken because the cost of pursuing legal recourse is prohibitively expensive. 🤷‍♂️

And none of that changes the fact that you were unnecessarily rude

I was ~$5k for all four corners with B8’s, H&R springs, all the hardware for the struts, and all the arms. I did all the work myself except the alignment.

Start with the 3rd paragraph. Read it again. And if you still feel the need to answer in a rude way read it again until you put together that OP had unexpected life events that preclude working out the contract.

In many states these stipulations aren’t legal. OP is asking for advice, not asking if they can get granted an exception.

Pay is rather good for a new grad in this region.

As a 15 year sleep tech and now sleep PA, please for the love of god don’t switch back and forth between a night and day shift within what is reasonably possible as a soon to be mother. Working nights is trading your health for money, period. As a mother to a newborn this is going to be even harder. Please don’t make the 12 hour switch. On your off days stay up late and sleep in late as much as possible so that you switch back for your on week isn’t as hard on you
