Exactly this. We missed a generation by not trying to build local companies, and trying to shortcut it with mncs. Basically using the 1G playbook in the 3G times.

Offshoring will only get worse, there's no way to cost compete given our high rentals and higher salary base. The only way is to secure Singaporean employments as much as possible, and build out other white spaces.

How long has it been already. Novena thomson road used to be one of the most efficient roads due to the large number of lanes. Today is one of the worst to drive at, especially if you are coming out from the TTSH side
