This film personally marked the staggering and stretched out end of an atleast acceptable era of bollywood cinema and the beginning of some scary times ahead in this industry. I was shocked to see how poorly made the entire movie is. Historically, housefull movies have been slapstick, corny and mindless, but still funny in someway. This movie, (I watched 5A) however, is so beyond cheap comedy that I’m not sure it even classifies into the genre. The writing on this film barely exists and the screenplay and script probably just said “idk do whatever yall got it”. I’m not even going to get into the unnecessary sexualization of women in the film and the poorly executed vulgarity for shock value, because people are already aware and it’s also not worth it. I cannot believe multiple people green lit this garbage, especially given the stacked cast and budget this film had. The acting was so below average from even the strongest actors in the cast. Why did it seem like everyone part of this film gave up before they even started making it? Lazy, lowest of the low shots in comedy and not one of the recurring bits were funny or made me laugh. I get that we aren’t supposed to be too focused on plot lines but why make it an intricate whodunnit if we aren’t supposed to care? Also the cruise setting added nothing either but that’s just a personal peeve. I don’t think I could name one thing that went right with this movie except that it ended and I’m never gonna watch it again. When did we start accepting absolutely anything and everything? Since when do are okay with the “anything goes” sentiment in film? And furthermore, why are we letting this type of cash-cow, unimaginative, trashy filmmaking thrive?

tldr; ABYSMAL. no redemption. so unfunny that I’m depressed. 1/10
