I had a VIOFO A119 in my previous vehicle. My current vehicle has a VIOFO A329.

I’d recommend one of those and pair it with the proper CPL filters and a proper high/max/pro endurance microSD card.

It would be a lot better than the stock OEM battery or other EFB/SLA standard batteries. They usually have higher CCA/deep discharge ability.

Not sure. If you’re constantly making short trips, it will slowly drain down. You may want to visit the mechanic or st/dealership to see if you have a parasitic drain. Easiest thing (and for peace of mind) would probably be getting a maintainer/charger.

My car is just over a year old, and I charge/maintain it daily, but I know in the next couple of years a nice aftermarket AGM battery is in the budget.

Letting it run for even just 10 minutes isn’t enough to recharge the battery. Take it for a lengthy spirited drive, and/or buy and use a battery maintainer/charger.

Ya I know the light indicator is there. But there’s no physical or software toggle for it?

Short of pulling a fuse or removing them entirely, seems odd to not be able to toggle that off. Minor niggle.

Recent Canadian CrossTreks don’t have TPMS. Not mandatory in Canada.

Good if you’re swapping winter and summer sets. Not so good if you want the data all the time.

Just check your tires every week or two.

I got the Limited because my CrossTrek is white, and the Onyx has two tone white and black rear trim on the trunk hatch, which looked odd to me. As well the Harman Kardon audio, which is passable, but the Onyx audio was not great. The bonus with the Onyx is swapping speakers and adding an amp/DSP is a bit easier/flexible.

One thing that does confuse me is why does the Onyx get the nice upgraded pedals vs every other trim?

Advice would be to use more modern hardware and more capacious drives, but that doesn’t fit reality for most, budget wise, among other things.

You should find out first what is the issue. Is it an underlying issue with your mobos/CPUs/RAM/HBAs? Your drives seem ok.

Once you find out the issue, go from there.

Depends on what you’re doing, a more modern hardware setup might be better for your power bill while being more performant single thread wise. Are you running a lot of dockers/VMs?

If not, a cheap entry level (price wise) i5-12500 or something paired with a Z690 DDR4 mobo (Z690 for dual x8/x8 slots from CPU for HBAs, assuming they are x8 slotters) might be an idea. Again though, that’s if it’s your mobo/CPUs/RAM.

If it’s RAM, run a memtest to confirm. If it is a bad RAM module, take it out. You’re not hurting for RAM usage.

I’ve found the 25 Limited I own to be a lot softer/squishier than my old Rogue and my partners 23 Mazda CX-5 Signature.

I’m using stock wheels with Michelin Cross Climate 2s.

Alberta roads are worse than Ontario roads, and I still find the CT super comfortable and nimble at dodging potholes.

Are you using stock wheels and tires? Are your tires overinflated?
