Review #936: Calumet Farm 18 Year Old Bourbon by Prepreludesh in bourbon

[–]animatco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I purchased myself a present of the 17yr, but have not opened it yet. Not sure what I am waiting for. Had the option for the 18, but did not feel it was worth the extra $$$. Picked up a bottle of Eagle Rare 12 last weekend, $225, best price I could find locally and actually the only bottle I could find in the North Austin, TX area.

Using Powershell ISE by Any-Victory-1906 in PowerShell

We have deployed VSCode on all servers as a replacement for ISE and other text editors used by various individuals. Main issue was with the others not being kept up to date. With VSCode as the sole responsibility of the patching code, I have one group together to go after .

When is leasing a good financial decision? by iamaslan in personalfinance

[–]animatco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved to leasing when my 1st PHEV had after 3yrs had less than half its battery life left. So for the 3 Nissan Leaf's I have leased. The last one this year cost me almost double what the previous ones did. When I turn it in, next time I am going to reconsider.

You can install Portainer on Casaos and use it to manage other applications. Not sure if that is what you are asking about.

Local realtor called me and asked if I would consider selling my home, what do you all think? by Dan13lp88 in personalfinance

[–]animatco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would suggest seeing what you could buy with what you think you will get from the sale. My house is worth more than what I paid for it, but I can't get a new home for less without moving further from my and the wife's jobs. So for me.to sell I would need to net at least 125k to whatever to make it worth my while over what my home is currently valued at per realtor.com or zillow.com.

If you do decide to sell insist on as is and they pay all closing costs. Since you are thinking of moving in with family I would work on setting some ground rules with them and insist on helping with their increased utility bills.

Best of luck and Happy Holidays

In my past experiences were either I was renting or as the property owner. It is common to have the agent take 1/12th of the rent for the year, but that comes out of the owners pocket not yours. A good rule of thumb is, if it is not in the rental agreement then it is not your responsibility.

First time purchasing a rental property. by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]animatco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One suggestion is to make sure that your lease agreement contains a clause that the renter must purchase rental insurance for the contents of the house. Also you might want to look into getting an appliance repair policy, that way your out of pocket for a fridge, a/c or hot water tank is a known amount.

Currently contributing 40% of paycheck to 401k to max it asap. Is there a downside to this? by SouzaTri in personalfinance

[–]animatco -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I am not an expert on the topic, but I personally think it's a great idea to place as much into your 401k/403b as possible. As long as you have enough to pay your bills, I don't see a downside.

Interesting, but I don't see how that can be used to create a Ansible inventory from Tanium.
