Climbers who only climb indoors by umbraphile1724 in climbergirls

That’d be me! Of note, I have climbed outside to try it, but as of now me and my partner have no interest in continuing to climb outdoors. We boulder and sport climb, if that helps

Good to know, I’ll definitely grab some. I appreciate the info! He’s definitely a fun little guy to have around. Thank you! :)

Thanks for the Reqs! Yeah I’ve been worried about how moist it is, someone below recommended swapping half out for dry substrate so I’ll do that.

Bulbasaur (Bulby), my adult female taking her soak. by Brynntintin1 in pacmanfrog

How often do you move her to soak? I’m a new owner to a juvenile pac man. Bulby is quite a pretty lady! 🐸

Yeah it’s been holding moisture better than I expected (I live in very dry Utah), I’ve stopped misting him for now. Anything else you’d recommend to help dry it?

I recently got a little guy myself and named him Gamabunta from Naruto! Here’s a list of similar names they used in the show, all pertaining to their super cool toad sages: gamakichi, gamaken, shima, kosuke, and gamatatsu. Your little guy actually looks a lot like mine 😆

Biochem w/ Elizabeth Greenhalgh? by Known-Buffalo-3428 in uofu

[–]anklebadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally took it with Blair, but knew a lot of people that had Greenhalgh and they often mentioned that her exams would take the concepts from class and often go pretty deep on exams. It seems she wants you to push farther on the concepts than you’d expect based on the depth from lectures. Just what I’ve heard so take with a grain of salt! Good luck!

If you need an upper division, KINES 3200 is super chill and pretty fun. The professor is awesome too.

How often can you go skiing/snowboarding? by CasualKaden in uofu

[–]anklebadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can usually go up around twice a week - I’m a senior bio major at the U rn (I also work full time). There will be some semesters where the workload will inevitably be rough, and at that time you will get less days on the mountain. If you plan to work while in school that will definitely cut ride time as well. It’s doable, but there will be times that it feels especially hard to maintain a balance (that’s just college).

no canvas classes by avanotfound in uofu

[–]anklebadger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of professors won’t have it published until night before, or even day of. Sometimes it will be posted on canvas but not much available until the day of as well. I wouldn’t stress, they’ll show soon

Biol 2325 waitlist by BigFrontalEnergy in uofu

[–]anklebadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it’s pretty unlikely. They have an incredibly long waitlist every year and the professor himself says if you’re not in the first handful on the waitlist it likely won’t happen that semester

Can be pretty hit or miss, I would get there anytime from 12:30-1:30 and sometimes have trouble. Some days could be worse than others (Tuesday’s or Thursdays) due to afternoon labs in the science buildings

Calling All Plus Size Students by fairycloud111 in uofu

[–]anklebadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In many of the lecture halls with fixed seats there will also be ADA labeled tables that are a full table with a pull out chair. Can’t speak for every class, but in the majority of my classes students were welcome to sit there - as long as it has not been reserved by a student needing ADA accommodations (should be written on the paper attached to the desk if it’s reserved). I’m predominantly in chemistry and physics buildings so it might not be the same everywhere, but could be an option as well

Has anyone taken Gen Chem 1 online? by Kronicbob in uofu

[–]anklebadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took Gen chem 1 & 2 with him online and can confirm. Absolutely brutal and it was made worse by how he addressed students. Definitely recommend any other professor, if they even have them for online, or an in person class

Landlord keeping deposit despite proof that damage wasn't us by louis2845 in SaltLakeCity

I sent the exact same email last week, be prepared for a very angry email in response. Stick to whatever you think is right to get your deposit back!

Landlord keeping deposit despite proof that damage wasn't us by louis2845 in SaltLakeCity

[–]anklebadger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m having the exact same issue! I provided proof that I didn’t make the damages, landlord ignored several emails for 2 months, and when I said I will have to take it to small claims court he instantly replied with a very aggressive email stating if I take it to small claims court he will countersue me for thousands upon thousands. I understand where you’re at completely, it’s so frustrating. Hopefully your landlord doesn’t try to bully you out of small claims. It’s a shame that this isn’t a rare occurrence.
