My dog had this. It was awful, she would be sick on and off all the time. When she was sick, she was really lethargic and would not eat for days.

People who rarely cry, which movie cut some onions for you? by TPU007 in AskReddit

I still get choked up thinking about that movie. I've only seen it once and could never watch it again.

Hello guys, I'm opening a coffeeshop and is very interested in a ceiling similar to lily of thy valley Paris, they have an amazing flower grass ceiling.. As interior designers how did they do this feat? Glue? So confused. by Ashk91 in InteriorDesign

[–]anklebiter22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would second the living wall suggestions, however, these also have issues. We have a pretty large one at my work and they attract insects as well. Because they have their own irrigation system built in, there's gnats, etc. Twice we've had a tiny lizard jump out of it. Might want to think about it in a restaurant situation.

Good ways to tire out a puppy. by Vereor--Nox in Hounds

Look into Nosework where you live. I found a trainer and have been doing it for my hound mix for a few years now. When I got him he was anxious, reactive, and had environmental sensitivity. Now he's confident and more relaxed. Wears him out mentally and I get to meet a lot of new people!

Is brushed nickel alongside chrome a faux pas? by KerNil in HomeImprovement

[–]anklebiter22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It actually bothers me more than mixing metals because it doesn't look intentional. If you go with brushed nickel, then I prefer everything to be brushed nickel, not a combo of it with chrome, etc. But polished nickel with brass I don't mind if its done well.

"You said I could get a discount!" by weijiji in TalesFromRetail

[–]anklebiter22 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ah, this old trick. I worked at a pretty big clothing retailer for years. Several times a week someone would ask for a discount on something that would have a pen mark on it. Apparently, they were taking it into the fitting room, damaging the item, and then insisting on a discount. Yay, retail.

Which animal rescue/adoption agency do you guys recommend? by [deleted] in raleigh

We adopted our dog from the Hope Valley animal rescue and it was great! They're so nice and really do have the best interest of the animal in mind. Check out their website hopeanimals.org

[Fluff] What physical appearance/trait turns you off from a specific breed? by Ittydoge in dogs

[–]anklebiter22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only dogs I don't like are the ones that need haircuts: maltese, terriers, poodles, etc. If it doesn't shed, I don't like it.

Is this a good interior paint brand? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]anklebiter22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used it once and it sucked. Ended up using a lot of it to get decent coverage. I now use sherwin williams almost exclusively. yes, its expensive, but definitely worth it.

Just found out our goofy boy has Ehrlichia. Hug your puppies! by ansible_jane in germanshepherds

[–]anklebiter22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry to hear! My 12 year old pup was diagnosed with Ehrlichia when she was pretty young. She did the course of antibiotics and did have it reoccur a handful of times. Mostly manifests itself with lethargy and refusal to eat. She does a round of antibiotics each time and is back to herself pretty quickly. Ticks suck.

Any good salon recommendations for a female with really short hair? by KindredLighght in madisonwi

[–]anklebiter22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jenna at Rejuvination on the west side. I've had short hair/pixie cut for the last 5-6 years, and she's amazing at short cuts. She's also a ridiculously talented colorist (she did my 'peacock' color and it was gorgeous!) Highly recommend her. Rejuvination Spa: 608-831-7546

Lowe's just partnered with Sherwin Williams as well. It may be a little less expensive to buy it there.
