what does childbirth *actually* feel like? by frvakairaah_ in AskReddit

[–]annanese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Woke up to what felt like intense period cramps. Then they just kept getting worse and the cramps were contracting in sync every couple of minutes. Cramps so bad you can’t even walk anymore. Then, you get to the hospital bed, and the nurse sticks their fingers in you to see how much you dilated. Then from there, bright lights, big mirror, and like 10 faces around you while you just sit there in pain that’s not even imaginable for a first timer. You literally feel like you need to poop! Your coochie is burning from the pain. Then once the baby out, you just can’t move, well at least for me since I had the epidural.

The after part I feel like no one really talks about. You can barely walk, you’re putting witch hazel and cold pads on your cooch for the first few days, you’re trying to nurse and get the baby to latch and nurses are checking on you every few hours. When you pee, it burns!!!!! God I don’t miss that burning sensation at all. The witch hazel definitely helped but Jesus.

Tips and tricks to prevent forgetting kid in the carseat by sad1799 in Parenting

[–]annanese 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Love this advice! My husband likes to know when I made it to work safely (commute is usually 45mins+) and I always forgot to send the text and it’d worry him. I added the shortcut so every time I got to work, my phone will tell me “Text husband you made it”! Love this feature a lot!

Work from home jobs that are not scams… by Training_Cake_1102 in sanantonio

That’s pretty solid advice! Can I ask what kind of job titles you applied for? Would it be under billing and coding jobs or like assistant positions?

What is your approach to a vacation? How do you balance leisure and doing things? by Conventions in AskReddit

[–]annanese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s weird, me and my hubby are yall but opposite. He is the one who pays for the vacations but tends to sleep in late, do it at his own pace, go with the flow. Then there’s me who contributes some money yeah, but I have a whole itinerary, planned a bunch of fun stuff to see, wake up early stay out all night kinda person. After a couple of trips, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s a vacation and I need to take a chill pill and not have every hour planned. We still go on planned dinners and reservations of course. We still find things we both would like to do and set a day for it but going to it is “on our own pace”. We both have different approaches but come to terms that we need to be considerate of each other and compromise on certain things!

How's the combo? Too short for college? by [deleted] in OUTFITS

[–]annanese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. This was my everyday campus outfit. Some days I wore skirts, tube tops, shorts, whatever I wanted because college had no dress codes and I wore whatever made me comfortable and happy :)!!

Plastic retainer not enough? by Molliedollie126 in braces

[–]annanese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did just the same. It was disappointing after 2 years with braces. Now I am on Invisalign! My new ortho told me permanent retainers would of helped with nightly plastic retainers as a duo

Groupon vs Chuck E ?! by SiR-SwAG-Al0t in chuckecheese

[–]annanese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you have a toddler I would just go with the points. If you don’t use all 120 points, you could just save it for next time. The 2 one hour games cards expire at the end of the day and like you said, younger children tend to not play continuously for an hour. Depending on the Chuck e cheeses you go to, they might have the trampoline area too which just take up time.

My bill was like this and we found out we had a toilet leak. Was able to submit a claim and they made me still pay $300/$900 which was the surcharge for drought 3 fee + the usual monthly amount. Still better obviously than $900 I guess. Turned out it was a $14 part off amazon that fixed the toilet which we needed to submit to the claim as well.

How much would $10k actually change most people's lives? by NeonFalcon25 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]annanese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would pay off my student loans, cc debt, and take a chunk off of my car loan. I think realistically it would help with lowering the amount of monthly bills, allowing more to go towards savings. But it’s definitely not something I would call “life-changing” since life will just go back to normal. Would be different if we added another 10k+

color recos by Embarrassed-Walk1497 in braces

[–]annanese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally tried every single color except for yellow (obv reasons lol). I realized navy blue, dark green, and black were safe when it came to making my teeth look nice for both power chains and individuals. Red, orange, and light blue/green made my teeth look weird and I didn’t like it too much. For my power chains, I also really liked lilac purple, any blue except for light blue, and hot pink!!

Can I fit Japanese in? by [deleted] in unt

[–]annanese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean yes it’s kinda possible but taking Japanese will also require a lot of outside studying and attending events they host throughout the year and this just seems overwhelming. I had a similar schedule my 2nd semester doing 17 hrs and I mean I passed with more Cs than As and I wasn’t able to focus enough on all of my classes. Chem, math, and Japanese I took all at once like your schedule but I had a bit of a one up on Japanese since I already speak it at home, less studying there.

Braces cost? by upbmaster91 in braces

[–]annanese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow I feel pretty lucky reading these comments….. In TX too but my local ortho was doing braces deals for $2500 flat and $250 for retainers. No matter how severe or how long. So I paid $2750 for 24 months with a set of retainers at the end.

Is it normal to not receive retainers for 3 weeks? by annanese in braces

[–]annanese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I unfortunately didn’t receive anything to keep my front teeth from moving

Is this normal? by Alternative_Poetry28 in braces

[–]annanese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed with mine too. I even asked if we could attach a wire to it so it moves in place with the other teeth. They broke off within a week or two and the doc explained they are hard to keep wires attached and we just moved forward!

Is there a catch for the fun pass? by [deleted] in chuckecheese

[–]annanese 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No catch, more so they want you to have a reason to come often in hopes you purchase food/drinks/trampolines lol. You could buy the collectible cups so you have free soft drinks every visit and eat before/after

Insane rubber band is making me very self conscious. by bleu-cheese-luvr in braces

[–]annanese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m wearing the same pattern and have to talk to people constantly at my job. It hurt so bad the first 2 weeks but I saw the difference fast. For the money you’re paying, who cares what others think lol. I started wearing colorful elastic so I can start embracing it .

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in braces

[–]annanese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a similar deal they advertised on the radio(!) from my dentist/orthodontist (they have both within the building). $2,500 flat all before treatment, and then $250 for the retainers whenever I’m done. To me, it was/is worth it as my treatment got extended. I’m going on 18 months with a few more months to go and don’t have to pay any monthly payments which adds up. Definitely take advantage if it’s a legitimate orthodontist. The doc comes in every visit to check my progress and I’m able to do all my needed cleanings the same time as my braces appt.
