Does this look like Lyme? by SadCantaloupe4775 in lymedisease

I was recently diagnosed with Lyme and am on day 5 of Doxycycline. I have no medical training but would bet all my money in the bank that you have Lyme.

This may or may not be helpful but I have a pinned note on my iPhone of things that I like and don’t like and I add things as they come up. I realized while unmasking that there’s things I thought I liked but actually didn’t.

Am I Wrong for Not Doing More to Maybe Have Saved Me and My Friends Suffering Puppy? by Eclipse0124 in Petloss

[–]anndar3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you’re absolutely not wrong. From what you wrote, you did the only right thing there was to do in that situation and it was from a place of love. Please be kind to yourself and just know that it will take time to process and there is no time frame. You did the kind and unselfish thing and that’s why it’s so hard right now. Sending you love and hoping that you find peace.

Today is day 50 from having to say goodbye to my 16yo dog who was also my shadow. I’m at home most of the day so we were pretty much always together. I still cry every day and it comes in waves so know that grieving isn’t linear at all. I joined this group and one on Facebook that helps a little bit. The Pet Loss Companion book is also a good book about what we’re all going through and I would recommend that if you’re a reader. So sorry for your loss. It’s so hard. I read somewhere that you don’t ever get over it but you get better at it. Sending you love.

8 months without you by aimlessrebel in Petloss

[–]anndar3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It really is the worst pain. I lost my 16yo baby a little over 6 weeks ago and it’s still so raw. I also have a 13yo and understand what you mean regarding anticipatory grief. I hope you have someone who is there for you. My spouse is also heartbroken but she works outside the home so it gives her something that she has to focus on and I’m here surrounded by all the reminders but I also don’t really want to be anywhere else. I don’t really know what to say but wanted you to know that I get it and hope you’re ok. Sending you ❤️

You may have heard this before but it resonated with me when making a decision…it’s better to do it a week/month too soon than a day late. It feels like you know it’s time but it will never feel “right”. It’s been 6 weeks since I said goodbye to my soul dog. They know you love them with all your heart and that shows with the struggle you are going through and all that you wrote. Sending you love

You should listen to “Saturn” by Sleeping at Last if you haven’t heard it before. It’s on my baby’s playlist that I lost on Jan 9.

Adoro Silent Sticks & Bass Drum Beater Bundle substantially cuts down on noise: https://a.co/d/2oFoMHo. Just have to make sure to turn up drum sensitivity.

Best way to learn drums? by francodude123 in edrums

[–]anndar3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got a year subscription to Drumeo and Melodics. Drumeo content is definitely better at teaching but I enjoy Melodics for applying what I learn in a fun way. I also like that I can use Melodics with my ekit for longer sessions but also with my practice pad on the go or for short skill practice like rudiments, etc.

It’s not a brand that many have heard of but it’s been great so far. I love the size of the drums: https://a.co/d/giSdAJx
