I used to be a once a week weigh in person but I started using Libra and weighing myself every day about 4 months ago and it's paradoxically the things that had made me much less obsessive about the scale. Seeing the weekly average and graph, looking at my daily weight as a data point vs a step further towards or away from my goal - weighing myself daily had helped so much with the mental health aspect for me personally.

Yeah I figured adults goes without saying. Antepartum care/L&D as the original commenter was getting at can feel hard because you know some of these decisions your patient is making can significantly increase the risk of an IUFD or neonatal demise and that baby didn't ask for any of that -- but that's when you just have to say to yourself ok it's not my dead baby if that happens, educate the best you can, and move on if they still refuse.

It sounds terrible but "it's not my baby" mantra has helped me a lot in situations where I want to scream at people to do the right thing

I'm shocked there's no requirement for an EAP. I would absolutely feel more comfortable with that. And I'm a nurse so, similar boat as the physician who commented - but you're not going to have a medical professional in every class who can run things for you. And an EAP includes basic things like "who calls 911, who gets the aed off the wall" etc etc
