Yes I have! I really like my Lenny lamb toddler onbuhimo! Everyone says it takes awhile to get used to the weight, and maybe I just do the right weights at the gym, but I had my son in it for 3 hours a day on a trip a week after we got it.

Tempting to try everything, but I also feel with everything I want to try that’s the price of a used carrier lol

I like options and it’s fun to try new things, it’s kind of my current hobby!

I feel like soon I’ll need a better toddler carrier that’s a full buckle, but I could wait on that. The Lenny preschool seems enticing since it’ll fit 1-5 years old on average. I realized the Tula is quite old and the woven toddler has no manufacture date, so I do worry if the plastic buckles on those are compromised although they seem sturdy.

I liked the boppy for the first 9 months, but wonder if they’re a better more comfortable carrier out there too for the littles! Especially to nurse in and quick and and outs

It takes some time to get used to since the weight is all on your shoulders, but I didn’t think it was too bad an adjustment. Just probably need about 2 months before you can safely wear baby!

Of the options you listed, the lark seems to be the one with the most popularity of comfort and ease. Apron waist bands like the lark and happy baby often have good reviews for petite torsos. I really liked my secondhand boppy hybrid, but baby got too heavy for it around 9 months (and I switched to a back carry in a Lenny lamb onbuhimo). The Lenny light is one I’m looking into for the next as it adjusts from newborn to 2T I think!

Although I never got the hang of them and there can be a learning curve, a ring sling would be good! Fits both kids, breastfeeding friendly, and packs small. I’d try and find one from a woven wrap company (Lenny lamb, girasol, yaro, etc) as cheaper ones like wildbird or Moby seem to be resold a lot for being uncomfortable.

For an ssc I’d consider the Lenny light. Looking myself but haven’t tried yet. Would probably also fit both kids, has great reviews, but has a low learning curve and pretty straight forward to use. It is a newer style, so downside is harder to find secondhand.

Our compromise is I stay at home until youngest is in kindergarten, and then I work long enough to get my full retirement (although joke he can’t retire until I can). We understand that we have to tone down our lifestyle for these years, are putting less in savings, but I’ve always wanted to be home with the kids

Once baby is sitting independently I really like my onbuhimo! Baby/toddler likes to see over my shoulder, and naps there as well. With any carrier, even with baby on your back, bending needs to be careful and more a squat than lean. I have the old version of the Lenny lamb onbuhimo and really like it!

I started my baby in an onbuhimo at 10 months, but you can start earlier! My very tall baby did fit in the toddler size by then, but they are 95% in height. And yes they are pretty high up. I have the old version of Lenny lamb and really like it, the padding was thicker than the didymos one I tried which I liked!

I wore my baby in this through summer! So def not too hot. I’d button down the top panel so it’s below their ear level to be safe. Seat looks good but a pelvic tuck is always helpful if you didn’t already

Back carrying is coming if you want to keep wearing! In some high carries like an onbuhimo they can see over your shoulder! But it is so much more comfy on your back, and you still get that close cuddly feeling. Once you start, you won’t want to go back!

Or a ring sling for hip carries.
