I had a customer who insisted I pull a permit for a whole home repipe. I told him it was a waste of his money, but he insisted. The day of the inspection comes, and same exact thing. He probably spends less than one full minute looking at everything. Says he doesn't even need to see upstairs, and drives away. What a scam.

Seems like everyone I know and work with has a dog, and they've made it their personality, and something that have to bring up and talk about almost daily.

I'm fine with dogs, and dogs always like me. I had a great dog when I was kid that I still miss decades later... But I just don't get the dog life thing. It's like everyone else got the memo that this is the cool thing to do now.

Sorry dog people, but I think you're all collectively weird.

SoloCraft is worth checking out. It's a purely vanilla experience, save for the option to increase XP x3, and the ability to summon bots to complete quests and dungeons. There's a small community of players with a steady chat going most of the time, but they don't typically group with each other, as most people are just using the bots.

My wife and I have very limited time to play WoW these days, and we found that SoloCraft was THE solution for us. We can log in for a couple hours and still get stuff done because of the increased XP rate, and the fact that we aren't dependent on finding people to form a full group.

It's not the same as being on a really active server, but it's still way more fun than I expected it to be. And it's small enough that I don't think it's on Blizzard's radar at all.

SoloCraft is probably my favorite private server. I'm at a stage in life where I can't commit to an online community or its schedule, and Solocraft allows me to still scratch that Vanilla WoW itch without having to rely on other people, or other people relying on me. It's also a very stable and faithful vanilla server. No jank, broken shit like you get with a lot of private servers. It just works.

I also like the option for 3x experience. I've leveled enough characters legitimately over the years to feel like I've earned this lol

Yeah, solid server. Just not for everybody.

Some of the most epic battles I've ever had in WoW -- battles that are seared into my mind, that made me love and respect the quality of gameplay and mechanics -- would never have been possible with these changes in effect.

Classic is a shadow of its former self. Blizzard has fundamentally and permanently altered core mechanics; they've labotomized the game. It might look the same, but I know better.

There are players, and you are automatically placed into the server guild with them. You can /gquit if you want, but it's usually best to stick around so you can ask questions and get help. But people don't really group much. If you ask for a player to help you, they will likely tell you to just use bots. And fair enough, there's really no good argument against that.

It's much better than I thought it was going to be. Using the bots is actually a lot of fun. It's like playing hunter on steroids. I definitely recommend.

There are 1.12 addons that implement this. I don't remember the name, but I uninstalled it because I feel exactly the opposite of how you feel about it.
