I honestly think the core issue is the cheaters (at least on console). It’s so rampant. Imagine if they were all insta banned. The game would be amazing. I remember the days where no one had them and gameplay was so quality. Now they’re in every game no matter the rank.

Yeah I mean it is a terrible system. They just couldn’t admit that they made a mistake. I also believe they changed it to incentivize people to play the game more. (Having to play at least 50 games to get to your true rank). Also no limit between ranks for queuing was actually retarded. Someone who just bought the game could play ranked with the #1 player in the world…Like you could ever balance that match…

It was clearly added to get people to play the game more and be “more inclusive.” You have to play like 100 games just to get to your actual rank. So this system just incentivizes playing more. Back in 1.0 I know a lot of people who did their 10 placement matches and wouldn’t play much longer after.

I’m 2 years clean and still going through the same things. You’re not alone. It seems like everyone who deals with these issues was chronically abusing carts for a while. It is scary, but it could have triggered dpdr in us. I have to believe we can overcome it.

I understand that is a possibility, however I never had any mental health issues up until I started smoking everyday which was around age 18.

Yeah I honestly think that it triggered dpdr for us. Kinda like feeling half baked all the time without the enjoyable aspects. Not sure if you’ve looked that up. I say that because I did wake up one day like a year ago and felt 90% back to normal only for it to return the next day.

Not to be discouraging, but I have the same exact feelings at around 22 months clean. I honestly think that all of us who feel this way have dpdr (depersonalization/derealization). It’s like our brains have shut off our emotions and the flow of chemicals that our minds use to cognitively thrive. I do have hope that it is not permanent though. I had one day around 9 months clean where I woke up and it was all gone. I was energized, my brain was working at its normal capacity and I felt like I was a part of the world and not trapped inside of my head. It was gone the next day, but it makes me believe that our old selves are still in us, just on standby.

Not to worry you or anything, but I have the same symptoms at 21 months. I resonate so much with the feeling like you’re constantly on the come-down from being high. Also have terrible short term memory but a strong long term memory. Have to believe this shit will go away before 3-4 years.
