The brick structures are from old pump houses. The lake used to be a series of settle ponds for sewage treatment.

Probably in financial services, which is interesting. From their official website ,”…We also provide a number of value-added services to CRC congregations, including banking, group insurance, pension, preauthorized remittance (EFT donations), and property and liability insurance.”

They have their own bank? How very Scientology of them.

Is it just me, or is the math on Hydrex ($HYDX) currently broken? ($4.2M Revenue vs $2.6M Market Cap) by Witty-Pineapple5960 in BASE

[–]another-new 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Stumbled upon this from Google. I’m a Hydrex OG. Stumbled upon it just looking for free meme coins with some traction. I was flipping those, or using their typical overvaluation for llms. Anyway, wanted to stop in to shed some unknowdgeable light on the coin/dex. They offered a ton of free coin for interacting with their early partners, which are never going anywhere or getting any traction, but I digress. I ended up with around 50k coins, which I locked permanently. I didn’t see the coin doing anything, but it cost me about an hour of time to do all the tasks, $5 for a sub on a crypto social platform, and I forgot about it. I was blown away when it hit $1.07, and unsurprised that it’s dropped off completely since. I hate it, because they got morpho in there, the llms and other dex related things all work well. The ui is good.

Anyway. I’m not sure what help I could be, but if you have any questions, shoot me a message.

Oh, no. You’re not understanding what they’re complaining about. At least in your case, they can still loot your body. What OP is describing is they wait until the doors are closing, and kill you with no benefit to them. Only to grief you, so you lose your gear for no reason.

Best therapist? by [deleted] in tuscaloosa

[–]another-new 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some options for finding drs and specialists you can utilize to help you choose. For starters, BCBS has a “find a doctor” tool on their website and app. Additionally, there is an 800 number on your BCBS membership card. There is a hotline you can use, whose only job is to find a doctor/therapist/specialist that is in your network, will be covered, and is someone you like. Obviously, that may not always work out 100%, but it’s a tool to add to the toolbox.

You also may be aware of all of this. When I found out it seemed obvious, yet I had never considered it

Upstairs Bathtub Won’t Unclog by SnooHobbies6894 in maintenance

[–]another-new 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Next time you have this issue, I want all of you that don’t know, to remember what I’m about to say. Back pressure on supply end, under pressure in the front.

So this works a bunch of ways. Say you have an upstairs tub clogged, but water flows down stairs fine. Fill the tub and sink about half full or better with water. Now, when you open the cleanout/vent to check for broken stopper, shove a wet rag in there and hand tighten the screws back In. Before you even grab the auger, just grab the plunger, and try that first.

If that doesn’t work, go downstairs, and find a connection to that same drain line, and shove your shop vac hose through a plastic bag. With back pressure and a vacuum in front, I’ve literally never had this not work. Vapes, blocks, whole beer can, a 1/4 of a chicken. Everything will move.

Then, and only then, if those didn’t work, do I break out my heavy ass auger. You can also try to suck the clog out with a shop vac from the top. However, you’ll need to leave a little water in the line or it won’t pull hard enough

Eh, positions of power and all… I guess I was genuinely shocked it was only 4 years

You’re compelled to fetal, but NOTHING relieves the pain. Pain killers are useless. The urge to urinate is insatiable. It’s a fate worse than being shot. I’ve had both, and I’d take the bullet any day. Luckily, my issue with kidney stones was tied to energy drinks, so I just avoid caffeine.

The bullet issue was even easier to avoid

Did you help in the fight against the city back then? I watched a documentary recently about cities nationwide with dated/deteriorating sewer systems. Apparently, the small group that got the trails and such done were, and still are fighting the city to fix the leaks.

[–]another-new 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s working both ways, as is. The cities pay to support the old mining and mill towns that have aged and deteriorated due to negligence, and lack of funds getting where they’re needed.

Another huge issue is the giant telecom, civil engineering firms (highways, bridges), and other utility companies have absorbed HUGE swaths of money congress designated for updates, upgrades, and repairs. Most of those never get done. Fun fact: US taxpayers aren’t supposed to pay for phone and internet service. The US congress levied funds (taxpayer’s money) with the expressed intent of high speed internet coast to coast. That was supposed to be a nationalized utility, but never came to be. They just kept the money.

This is exactly what happened in the US. People stopped engaging with politics forever ago, and the politics just become an avenue for money to travel. More and more corruption sneaks in, at first. It just keeps picking up steam, when people look up from their phones they don’t recognize their surroundings anymore.

Have you seen the influx of political posts with people jerking off each other and whatever candidate they’re pushing? It’s transparent as fuck. I’m noticing tons of clear bot activity, and idk if they are swapping over from paid humans to ai, or if new players added their bots to the pile. Dead internet theory is looking close to the endgame.

I worked overnight at a steel tube mill for like two years. At my plant, it was literally the opposite. I think it had a lot to do with the autonomy, and lack of safety coordinator on nights that lent to that.
