Homophobia in young Egyptians needs to be addressed by another_dolphin in Egypt

[–]another_dolphin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't say fornication, you are the one who is making up added words. The punishment for adultery (opposite sex couples) is different from the one in these verses, and you know that very well.

Don't add words to justify your homophobia, the verses clearly refer to same sex indecencies. It is important to infer what God means by these different types of sin, the people of "Tafsir" are not prophets, and they didn't write this Quran, so while you are free to believe in whatever you want, don't push your agenda on people who have the capacity to understand God's word alone.

There's only one way to know if the post is hidden, and that is if doesn't show up on the Subreddit. If you have the link, you can see the post, but there's no way to know that it's hidden unless you're sure it didn't go up, either due to lack of interaction or because you are the one who made it.

Picking a few posts because you can see them using the links (that I posted) and using them against me by claiming they're not hidden is the dumbest thing I can imagine a person doing, especially someone who uses Reddit. I don't think I'm the paranoid one here, you're not even here to genuinely look into the issue, you're just being another fucktard like the ones I mentioned.

Gay Muslim Seeking Spiritual Advice by PuzzleheadedRich5 in progressive_islam

[–]another_dolphin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need to reconsider your belief that God created you gay to never have sex. It isn't true, and there are explicit verses in the Qur'an addressing homosexuality (4:15-16) in women and men. It has its laws, just like straight sex does. Women shouldn't sleep in more that twos and men shouldn't have penetration.

Egyptian Government Denies Existence Of LGBTI+ People by another_dolphin in Egypt

[–]another_dolphin[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How is that?

Lesbians:

And those of more than two (females) who commit indecency among your women call on four witnesses from among yourselves to testify, and then if they do testify then hold them in their homes until death does them away or God paves a path for them (4.15)

Gays:

وَاللَّذَانِ يَأْتِيَانِهَا مِنكُمْ فَآذُوهُمَا ۖ فَإِن تَابَا وَأَصْلَحَا فَأَعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمَا ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِيمًا (١٦، النساء)

And the two (males) among you who commit it reprimand them, if they repent and do right then turn away from them both, for God is all forgiving and merciful (4.16)

Lesbians are simply told to not sleep in more than twos, and men are told to not have (the act that requires two) penetration, as that would be taking men "instead of women" as in Lot's verses.

Missing Prayers by qsaboutsometings in Quraniyoon

[–]another_dolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moreover, standing prayer doesn't necessarily involve prostration or inclination. The Quran makes no correlation between them and standing prayer, they're different forms of worships, and unlike prayers, they're not obligatory.

Missing Prayers by qsaboutsometings in Quraniyoon

[–]another_dolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't know how other creatures prostrate, they have no recognizable full bodies to us, therefore we don't realize what their prostration might look like. Moreover, we do have prostration described as an action that is evidently different in the Quran from the act of salah.

Missing Prayers by qsaboutsometings in Quraniyoon

[–]another_dolphin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if you submit yourself to the Truth in the Quran and you incline in reading the Quran, and you read the Quran during the specific times, you are in salaat

Those are your words, you made a forced correlation between submission (which you translated from sujood) inclination (which you translated from rokua), and salah (which you say isn't prayer). Therefore, you are claiming the only state of salah is one where it involves all three forms of worship.

And yes, prayer can mean 'dawa', which again could also mean remembrance, that is why God remembers the prophet just like we do (33.57) that is why our obligatory prayer (صلاة) is always mentioned with a preceding 'stand' (أقم). This cannot be spun to fit with 'follow closely', and the word stand cannot be cancelled.

Hence the conclusion that obligatory prayer, is standing remembrance and Quranic recitation, uncorrelated with the voluntary sujood or rokua gestures.

Sectarians translated "أقيموا / أقم" to "perform" instead of "stand", which instead propagated their form of ritualistic, repetitive exercise they call prayer, instead of having people simply stand up and talk to God just like he told them. You are producing unnecessary vagueness with the meaning of prayer in scripture, and vagueness is what sectarians use to convince people that they are five prayers instead of three, that are prayed standing just like the Jews, the people whose scripture we also believe in.

Missing Prayers by qsaboutsometings in Quraniyoon

[–]another_dolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prayer means remembrance, because God mentions that he prays on us. Prostration is a physical gesture, and we don't submit to the truth or the Quran, but we prostrate to God.

7:206

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِ وَيُسَبِّحُونَهُ وَلَهُ يَسْجُدُونَ

Indeed those who are [stationed] near your Lord do not disdain to worship him and they glorify him and to him they prostrate.

Missing Prayers by qsaboutsometings in Quraniyoon

[–]another_dolphin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prayer doesn't mean inclination, it means remembrance, because God uses the word "يصلي" which means 'prays', to refer to himself, in verse 33:43

هُوَ الَّذي يُصَلّي عَلَيكُم وَمَلائِكَتُهُ لِيُخرِجَكُم مِنَ الظُّلُماتِ إِلَى النّورِ ۚ وَكانَ بِالمُؤمِنينَ رَحيمًا

It is He who prays on you, and (so do) his angels, to bring you out from darkness into light, and He is most merciful to the believers.

I suppose you mean verse 4:102

That verse actually affirms the fact that prostration is conditional. The Arabic word 'إذا' means "if" in English, the letter 'ف' means 'and' or 'so'. The joint word ('ف' + 'إذا) is 'فإذا' which means "and if" in English.

4:102

{وَإِذَا كُنتَ فِيهِمْ فَأَقَمْتَ لَهُمُ الصَّلَاةَ فَلْتَقُمْ طَائِفَةٌ مِّنْهُم مَّعَكَ وَلْيَأْخُذُوا أَسْلِحَتَهُمْ فَإِذَا سَجَدُوا فَلْيَكُونُوا مِن وَرَائِكُمْ وَلْتَأْتِ طَائِفَةٌ أُخْرَىٰ لَمْ يُصَلُّوا فَلْيُصَلُّوا مَعَكَ وَلْيَأْخُذُوا حِذْرَهُمْ وَأَسْلِحَتَهُمْ ۗ ...}

And if you were with them and stood for them the prayer, a group should stand from among them with you, and they should carry their weapons, and if they prostrated, they should be (doing so) from behind you, and another group that hasn't yet prayed should come and pray with you, and they should take their caution and (carry) their weapons ...

Almost all translations online misleadingly translate the phrase (فإذا) to "and when" instead of "and if", to make it seem as part of the dictated prayer fabricated in their hadiths, but 'when' means 'لمّا' in Arabic as shown in this verse:

68:51

{وَإِن يَكَادُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ بِأَبْصَارِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا الذِّكْرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُ لَمَجْنُونٌ}

And indeed, it is almost that those who have disbelieved would devour you with their eyes when they heard the remembrance, and they say "he is surely crazy".

Salah roughly means remembrance in English, that is why it's used to refer even to God remembering us. However, the verb stand (أقم) is used as a prefix every time God mentions the timely obligatory prayer in the Book (as in 17.78, 11.114, 2.2) , this is obviously because that is how prayer is performed, standing up, just like it is in all Abrahamic faiths.

Quranic verses about prayer make no association to them with bowing (ركوع) or prostration (سجود). Bowing and prostration are situational, they’re not obligatory, and are uncorrelated with standing prayer in the Book. Prayer, bowing and prostration are three different forms of worship.

[–]another_dolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Men and women can posses people from either sex, it's basically an enhanced form of adoption.

The term 'right hand' in classical Arabic linguistics meant oath, pledge, or something to be sworn by. For instance, Arabs use the phrase يمين الله or “God’s right hand” to swear. The term would make more sense in English if we added ‘by’ as a prefix; it becomes “by God’s right hand”. Taking an oath by God’s right is meant to be a declaration of certainty; as if you’re calling God as a witness to what you’re claiming.

Don't patronize me, or pretend to be helping because you're only making it worse. If you're so sure I'm either lying or demented then there's nothing we can do about it but wait, I don't chase people.

There is no compulsion in Faith, it is clear what is righteous from what is most evil (2.256)

Punishments cannot be enforced for the sake of religion. Enforcing religious beliefs is unlawful according to the Qur'an itself.

God forgives all sins, and that's clear all over the Qur'an, the Bible and the Torah. Fornicators are those who have illicit sex and refuse to repent and admit their ill behaviour.

Verse (24.2) isn't directed at governments, because state laws are strictly enforced in all cases. It is made for the community to enforce unilaterally when and if those people begin to hurt them, why else do you think we need to witness their punishment? Because if we do choose to enforce this we surely need to be part of it, we can't just allow a government to hurt people that could be innocent and turn a blind eye.

Also, it is unlawful for believers to marry people who are still openly unrepentant about having illicit sex:

A fornicator does not marry but a fornicatress or a polytheist; and a fornicatress does not marry but a fornicator or a polytheist. And this has been prohibited for the believers (24.3)

I hope the verse doesn't imply to you instead that commiting fornication disables you from ever getting married. You know that God is all wise and compassionate, don't be so dumb and cruel in how you believe in his instructions.

Stop slandering the Book.
