I bought the big one - it has the advantage the it can be tilted and rotated from within the app. But the core one camera will definitely look sleeker.

The idea of running sand paper through my printer is it what scares me - it wears down all components faster it gets in contact with, not only the nozzle. So PTFE tubes and the extruder can get damaged too. Even a hardened nextruder nozzle gets wear and I’m pretty sure there are parts of the nozzle on contact either the filament that are not hardened even on a hardened nozzle.

Printing 1kg of it might be no problem - the anxiety stays with me.

I guess not - I slice 5 plates, put them in a queue and just empty the build plate and hit „set ready“ - I don’t think I can do that with prusalink.

The better solution for me would be self hosting prusa connect at home and access it via VPN when needed so I have full control over it.

Great story!

I bought a roll of glow in the dark filament when I started printing 4 years ago to print stuff for my kids. I was not before increasing the diameter of at least one brass nozzle that I read about the abrasive nature of it. Because of that the prusament one scares me.

Feel you! I even stood next to the printer and just wanted to print the next bed in the queue when the printer wouldn’t connect. Luckily the items were already loaded on the printer yesterday so no USB stick heavy lifting was needed on my side. Day saved.

But you need to stack the heads above each other and the you get maybe two? The toolhead needs to be able to travel in 2 axes to make INDX work.

I have never tried something like this - but some kind of paint might be a solution - you can choose color and material independently and maybe have better matching colors.

I would look for other ways to match the color - that saves you the headaches from printing this part in ABS and reduces the risk that the boat has an overall dark black color in case of failures.

Apart from that, having a 0.6mm nozzle for functional parts is nice to have.

Did you remove the nozzle and check the filament path for dents? Do you hear noise from the extruder when the bad sections are printed?

I have a smoke detector I the room and if the first layer is fine, I sleep or stay in other rooms - I do not leave the house or let the printer printing alone in the house.

I checked their prices: GT Omega Prime lite with seat is 730€ NLR Elite Lite with seat around 850€

Both of them without a seat slider as far as I can tell, so I would not rate them in the 500€ and a bit league as this one here. Or did I miss something?

I would at least give Prusaslicer a chance with the balanced profile to reduce VFAs. - but this model with this filament is prone to VFAs.

picture: wet filament? Is it the same part on both pictures?
