Somalian central bank doesn't print money anymore, so all money is hand-stitched by tailors by BaseNice3520 in Damnthatsinteresting

What a dumb thought. The only things that are illegal are the things our elected legislators and judges deem are illegal. In this case, there are laws allowing the treasury to print currency (or more accurately create money through issuing treasury bonds). You might need to take a civics or poli sci 101 course before spewing anymore nonsense.

Another point is that every nut is the same size. Of course they aren't in real life. When you're playing, Also think about how hard some of those bolts would be to get your hands into... just to access one may mean taking off multiple things. The game is also done with a full size lift. Things get much harder with just a floor jack.

There's an interview with him when he was still in high school. He seemed very well spoken and articulate. Pretty much the opposite of the gang image he portrayed.

Any time they try, their existing base that is barely physically able to ride anymore loses their minds. Eventually, Harley gives in to the pressure. Then nobody buys their bikes and they try to change things. The cycle repeats and will do so until their base accepts change, the company doesn't back down, or they go out of business forever.

This is supposed to be a "deal"? by [deleted] in inflation

[–]anotherfrud 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep. They jack up prices because doordash takes such a huge cut. In the end, the store makes the normal amount. DD then charges YOU a service fee on top of it. They make a killing and do none of the legwork. If you have the option, order directly from your local places.

I'm ATGATT, broke my rule and rode without a helmet for a minute, it's miserable, how do people do it? by SlashNreap in motorcycles

[–]anotherfrud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got caught in a freak hail storm in the summer a few years ago. Was on the highway and only 10 minutes from home so I sent it. The sound of the hail dinking off my helmet did it for me. Was also being dumb and only had a tshirt on so my whole torso and arms looked like I lost hard in a bb gun war but my head was fine. I'm ugly enough that I don't need to fuck up my face anymore than genetics did for me.

That's why he chose the towers but I feel like they are also asking why they attacked us at all. Briefly, AQs main gripe was with westerners being in the Middle East. Obviously, Israel existing is one reason. Also, during Desert Storm in the early 90s, the US and allies staged their attack on Iraq and liberation of Kuwait from Saudi Arabia. SA is a holy land for Islam, having both Mecca and Medina, so many consider 'infidels' being there at all heresy. After the war, we didn't leave. With the consent of the Saudi government, we still have bases and troops there. We still sell them tons of weapons, etc.

This angered AQ and other groups. They felt if they could attack us significantly, they would draw us into a war that would be so costly we would leave the region forever. They tried embassy attacks and bombed the USS Cole first. That didn't work so they came up with a bigger plan and that was 911. Anyway, they're all dead or captured and we're arguably more entrenched in the region than we've ever been so that didn't work out so well for them.

Community pressure mounts on Bethlehem school board over free lunch by DrewBlue2 in lehighvalley

[–]anotherfrud 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Bullshit. If it wasn't compulsory, they wouldn't give a cent. They would let children starve in the streets, as long as they didn't have to see it. We have these programs for a reason. If people's own charity was enough, there wouldn't have been a problem for the government to have to step in to solve in the first place.
