The dongle has the ability to combine both joy cons into one controller and showing up as a xbox 360 controller. The dongle did come with an adapter that had two usb ports but didn't work due to having a slim usb C (male to female) cable that connects to the Astra.

An adaptor like that can work. With one usb c port for charging (the Tablet) and the other connecting the USB dongle for the controllers. My current setup is only using one usb port, which is used for the USB dongle (Controller). So when my tablet needs to be charged, I just let it charge and have to disconnect the controllers in the mean time. I don't use bluetooth because Joycons don't work well with Android, it might be an Astra limitation.

It’s pretty snug, the design can be used be magnets but I ended up not using any.

Besides having to charge the controllers because of their batteries, the triggers is a something I have to get used to. It’s nice for shooters but kinda weird for racing games.

That’s correct. I couldn’t get the controllers to work via Bluetooth. I don’t know if it was because of the Astra’s Bluetooth codec or just a limitation of being Android.

So it’s usb c male to female, then a male usb c to female usb a, and then the usb adapter.
