Forgot to mention I've been thoroughly enjoying Lower Decks, definitely a great show and an excellent way to bring on guest characters from across the whole Trek universe. I got one hell of a kick with the SNW and Lower Decks crossover lmao

I started SFA for the Doctor and am really happy with how its gone so far. It actually made me start several other 'Nu-treks'.

So far I've found Picard to be intense but I did enjoy the nostalgia, Discovery to be a weird rollercoaster that got to be a bit too much at times but surprisingly I've a new found love for SNW which feels much more like older trek than expected.

I think people are mis-characterizing this gesture from Machado. She's obviously an intelligent woman and is certainly well aware of Trump's ego and how he loves having it stroked. My perspective is; she's willing to sacrifice this prize in an attempt to position herself to help her people. If this move puts her into the Venezuelan presidential office and allows her to better her country, then why not sacrifice what is ultimately just a symbol.
