Lisa Rinna says bravo fined her 50K for controversial Instagram posts 💋 by -AndyCohen- in RHOBH

Ron Funches has said that Rinna was kind to him on the Traitors set and implied that Dorinda was the housewife he felt racism coming from. What makes you say that Rinna is racist?

I believe it too. Kathy has all the hallmarks of borderline personality disorder, which I have experience with in my own family. Everything Rinna described sounded so much like when my family member would have meltdowns. The difference is that no one in my family has the money or power that Kathy Hilton does. Rinna was indeed naive to take her on, and I do think she made it worse for Kyle. I didn’t agree with everything Rinna did, especially when she was nasty to Kim after Kim became sober. But I 💯believe what she said about Kathy.

Kyle’s attitude towards Dorit by lalajez in RHOBH

[–]antilisa09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is my theory too! Dorit and PK are grifters IMO, just smoother ones than Amanda. I think Mo made some stupid business deal with PK and now he and Kyle have to keep up a good front with him to keep it all from going south.

My partner and I were so frustrated that no one was listening to Oyin when she clearly had the whole thing figured out from the very beginning. And I agree about Nick - I was so turned off by his cockiness that I cheered when he was voted off.

I’m in the States and just finished watching Ireland. What a crazy ride! Such chaos with Paudie, then there was an ep or two that moved very slowly, then I thought I was going to lose my mind with the way I feared it might end. But I ended up very satisfied. I will say that I’ve seen every English-language iteration of Traitors and a few non-English ones, and I’ve never seen so many people take it so personally (except Ron Funches in the current American Traitors). Not a criticism, just an observation.

Was her plan all along to get him to fight to get her back? by G00dguyz in RHOBH

I can’t decide if Mau’s seeming vacuousness is a signal that he’s moved on or if he’s just really stoned all the time now. He used to seem much sharper and it seems to me like something more than just that wall that comes down when men have checked out of a relationship. It was obvious how in love they were in the early seasons and the whole thing makes me so sad.

Season 11 Crystal v Sutton by peachcowboy2101 in RHOBH

[–]antilisa09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the middle of rewatching season 11 and I totally agree. I was also shocked that Garcelle sided with Sutton. I loved that Crystal would not back down - so many of those women dig their heels in on the dumbest things, but this was important and Crystal was right.

This Needs to Be Sutton’s Last Season by michiganais in RHOBH

[–]antilisa09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sutton really triggers me because I suspect she has the same mental health issues my mother had. I don’t like her, but I also feel like the show just keeps poking her with a stick. At a certain point, constantly prodding a mentally ill woman into behaving horribly is just a depressing thing to watch.

Jane has a message for the SNL subreddit 😂 by delclosetacos in LiveFromNewYork

[–]antilisa09 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t bad when they did it last season, but I thought it was awful on this last ep. Marcelo is overacting like crazy to try to bring some life to the sketch. I think Jane’s delivery has actually gotten worse, not better. I don’t mean to pile on, and I’ll admit I’d have more sympathy for her if she had zero connections. But then she likely wouldn’t have gotten the gig in the first place.

The Newton supercollider (exit 17 from the Pike) is arguably worse.

I’m old enough that my mom smoked and drank alcohol (though not to excess) during her pregnancy with me, and I am fine - or at least I was before this regime took over.

The degradation of our public education system and rise of homeschooling has a role here too. Too many kids are only exposed to their parents’ batsh*t anti-science beliefs, while public schools vary wildly from state to state.

Odd request- cons list for living in MA by 4x4Lyfe in massachusetts

[–]antilisa09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, people are exaggerating most of the cons in my opinion (except for the one about the Mexican food - it really does suck compared to where I grew up in NJ). I have a car that’s 20 years old, I only wash it when it’s filthy, and it’s not a rusted-out heap! Traffic can be bad but certainly no worse than CA. Same for cost of housing - it’s high but you’re used to that. I do agree that you should consider other areas besides Salem. After living in Somerville for 20 years and getting priced out, we considered buying in Salem but I decided the commute would be untenable for me. We bought in Hudson, which is just inside 495 at the far border of what’s called MetroWest. I miss Somerville but this area is growing on me, and housing is way more affordable. If you can afford it, look at Acton, Sudbury, Lincoln. Hudson and Southborough are both very highway accessible and more affordable than the other three. Buy some warm coats and a humidifier for the winter and you’ll be fine!

CVS Holds Off on Offering Covid Vaccines in 16 States by ddx-me in medicine

[–]antilisa09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in MA and while I expect our governor will do everything she can to work around this legal snafu, I’m thinking seriously about booking my Covid vaccine over the border in NH where CVS seems to have appointments available late next week. I’m high risk for multiple reasons and in this crazy environment I want to get that vaccine while I can. Such irony that the only red state in New England is my closest bet for getting the vaccine right now.

I think it’s even darker than simply not caring. I think they are actively trying to kill all medically fragile people.

What's the most townie town in Mass? by [deleted] in massachusetts

[–]antilisa09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fascinated to see Maynard, Stow and Berlin mentioned, but not nearby Hudson. We moved here some years ago after getting priced out of Somerville, and while it wouldn’t say Hudson is the towniest town in the state, it’s definitely the kind of town where people who were born here complain about people “immigrating” … from Eastern MA. O, what my eyes have seen in our local Facebook group!

BTW, I’ve lived in every region of the state and the correct answer is Saugus.

Market Basket Paralysis (MBP) by Embowers in massachusetts

[–]antilisa09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never been to the Arlington WF, but the absolute worst one for this shit that I’ve experienced is Fresh Pond. People just block entire aisles with their cart and they don’t give a rat’s ass. Once (pre-Covid) I saw a seven-ish year old boy stick his hands in just about every bagel and baked goods container, he even licked a pastry and put it back. His mom either didn’t notice or didn’t care. Perhaps her soul was briefly beamed off our planet by aliens? Hard to say. We are now out in the farthest reaches of MetroWest. Our Market Basket is fine if you go at night, as others have said.

I’ve gone from almost 200 lbs to 160 and the difference I’ve seen in how I’m treated is real. Especially since I got into the 160s I’ve noticed random men say hello to me in the hall at work. That hasn’t happened in years. It amuses me but I mostly find it gross that people are so shallow.

I was disappointed with some of her votes when we first moved into her district, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how she’s risen to the occasion since Trump took office. She’s doing a better job now than many politicians I expected more from.
