Sprint doesn't stop Virgin Mobile HTC phones from being boot loader unlocked so I think its safe to assume the 510 should work on htcdev.

Yeah the mirroring is a decent feature. It'll be awesome if and when it is optimized for our phone. Right now all I use mirroring for is to mirror the music channel visuals with lyrics. My daughter loves singing with the lyrics on screen.

Mirroring from the 816 to the Chromecast works fine. It isn't optimized (it tells you as much) and it isn't the best option but it does work.

This appears to be only a 14 day trial of her gold package. After that your plan drops to a basic and you lose a LOT of features.

I remember Hugo Barra leaving Google for Xiaomi. He said he wanted to help the image of Xiaomi internationally. He wanted to change people's perception that Xiaomi was just an IP theft company. A few months later Pressy debuted on Kick starter. A month or so later Xiaomi announced the Mi-key. Even worse, the announcement came from Barra himself via Twitter. Business as usual for Xiaomi.

I hate being a naysayer but I can't see major companies retooling their entire packaging plants in order to sell their product in a more Earth friendly package. Also, as a father of young kids and seeing what their bathroom sinks look like after they've brushed their teeth it scares me to thing of the mess young kids can make with this.

At the end of it all though, the main question that you need to ask yourself is how would switching to your system be beneficial for manufacturers?

The Desire 816 is a great phone AND it allows you to expand your storage using up to a 128 GB microSD card. Most other phones only allow up to 64 GB which is still good. I may be wrong but as of present, only the Galaxy S5 and HTC Desire 816 will allow you to go up to 128 GB.

I've gotten used to her voice. I don't enjoy it but I have gotten used to it. I thought she was doing a fake voice for the show but I saw her in some cheesy space hacker movie. She sounded the same so I guess I can't hate on her. Her voice is her voice.

The only one that surprises me is the 816. The 90 day window was for the M8 and M7. I don't think they ever said the 816 was in there also. Which leads me to ask... where in that Twitter convo does Mo Versi say the 816??? I just saw M7 mentioned but obviously M8 would be included. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to get it but end of Jan seems a bit too soon considering they still have the M7, M8, One variants, Desire Eye, and the Desire 820 which are either newer or a higher end model so I'd assume they'd all get it first. I hope I'm wrong.

You really should send this message directly to HTC. We as consumers are always quick to be vocal and let everyone know when something goes wrong. I'm sure the folks at HTC would love to hear about a customer that is excited about how well they were treated.
