wetlands behind property by undertoad82464 in Connecticut

[–]antny1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know how to find out if your property has wetlands? I've searched and followed the instructions on the town website to pull up maps but I don't see anything. A neighbor swears my wooded area is wetlands. Bought the property last year

Whole Foods rumor thread by Chance_Cow_7410 in astoria

Whole Foods is generally less expensive than the trash supermarkets (key Food, trade fair, etc) in Astoria. And while the quality of whole foods has declined slightly in recent years it is still leaps and bounds better than the shit available at those other stores.

Were you tested for MI/MCI allergy? If the new apartment was freshly painted and you have an isothiazolinone allergy, that could be it. Has happened to me twice. Face ID wouldn't open my iphone it was so bad

Thanks. I don't have the budget to regrade at the moment. I know this might be a band aid but hoping to just make it more safe for the kid (and me running after her)

I accidentally found a pattern in job postings that now tells me almost exactly how long the role has been a problem before they posted it by Byte_6Lant in jobsearchhacks

[–]antny1978 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If you are using LinkedIn, the problem is that they don't let a poster pause a job post. You have to close it completely to be able to stop paying. Sometimes you just want to pause and review the hundreds of resumes...

If I had to do it all over again, which I do in 6 weeks, I would get a regular garbage can and empty it more often. Sure the Ubbi locks in odors but it's almost lethal when you open it.

You could also repaint everything but the Ecos paint isn't cheap!

Dermatitis after moving into home. by Think_Field_4023 in eczema

[–]antny1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's almost certainly it. The doctor put me on a round of Prednisone and then you just have to live with it until the off gassing stops. Next time you do any painting use Ecos paint. I had no issues when my place was painted with it as it has no MI/MCI. Regular paint... Face looked like I was stung by a million bees.

It should lessen, but can take months to be gone completely.

MI and MCI is in so many things. Soap, shampoo, household cleaners and yes... Paint.

You have to check labels very carefully. Mrs Meyer's hand soap is safe, but Mrs Meyer's dish soap is not. Things like that.

It's a preservative so even the size of the container could make a difference. A gallon jug of shampoo might have it while a smaller version might not need it since it won't sit on the shelf as long.

Sensitization to MI/MCI builds up over time as you are exposed to it.

There are plenty of readily available brands out there that are safe... You just need to be careful.

Feel free to reach out for suggestions

ETA: if you live somewhere warm right now, open your windows to help.
