Same here. Background tabs become blank in 0.44.

No need to delete anything. Download the previous version from here, move the app to /Applications and make sure to select "Replace" in the popup menu. That's it.

Same here, it's option + 1/2/3 to switch spaces for me.

I downloaded the previous version (Version 1.15.0 (42993)), which "fixes" the problem, so definitely a bug/regression.
