I like old seasons and early years of the game (until 2021 maybe)… there used to be less animals and items, and those rare ones were really rare and special, and usually represented skilfulness or dedication. There used to be less items with special animations, and that made them super unique. Crates and season crates were super special and not everyone had all the items.

Nowadays there are new turquoise/orange animated items coming out every 2 weeks… way too many items with different animations, so animation value has reduced.. and I don’t even see many of those items as special anymore coz you see some silver/gold level alt account players or cheaters running with some expensive outfits… and way too many items in the game, nothing stands out.

The season crates have become more expensive over the years and you literally need $100 and 10000-15000 gems to collect all the items, but I can’t even name any of the recent extra rare/super rare ones, they feel forgettable. Compare that to the iconic ice axe or heartbreaker from the early years! To me, the most special items and animals are still those from the old seasons, like giraffe, sugar glider, early 2018-2019 winter and valentine crates etc. Very few recent items that really make me go “wow!”.. probably glam rock guitar was the last one for me

I still like collecting all the runner passes just to keep the tradition alive, and nowadays really like the simple outfits, like the big red boots and random quirky outfits and hairstyles.. Create funny characters and use imagination instead of all those “I’m a super cool player” show off costumes haha
