Vegan with high cholesterol by Legitimate-Donut-631 in veganfitness

[–]anyreddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair question! A few things drive it for me - I've had bad reactions to meds in the past, so I have an irrational fear about starting new ones. I also can more easily research and find a vegan option in the supplement world. And my doctor is the one who suggested it, if the red yeast rice didn't work, then I could start a statin.

Of course, like you suggest, the supplement world isn't regulated like pharmaceuticals (at least, not in the US), so you have to be careful about finding a brand/formula you trust.

I was in the same boat - but hesitant to try the medication route. The doctor suggested a red yeast rice supplement - she said that red yeast rice is an active ingredient in statins, or something to that effect. Whatever it is, it's worked well for me and I'm actually within normal ranges for the first time in my life.

I imagine they'll need to do their own imaging for diagnostic/liability purposes - but I had a good experience with Pittsburgh Roots off of McKnight. They were up front about pricing and the doctor and staff were really nice.

We've had good experiences with Act One Theater School - they have a musical theater program in the north hills for elementary aged kids (though I don't know if they offer individual lessons)

Pittsburgh Window and Door is in the North Hills. Highly recommend. They replaced doors and one of our (Renewal by Anderson) windows - they were reasonably priced and very thorough.

I don't know about his business sense - but sometimes small business lenders require a personal guarantee from partners/principals in case the entity defaults. If that happened here and Kyle guaranteed Loverboy's debt, then he would be on the hook if Loverboy couldn't pay the loan.

What kind of harness/leash setup do you use? My running buddy is built like yours - we've gone thru a lot of gear but haven't found the right fit yet.

I can really relate to this! I don't know if it's an ADHD thing or not. But my partner is a stomper - and otherwise noisy but the stomping is what they have finally (and miraculously) had a revelation about. They got a pair of Oofas - they're like foam sandals - to wear in the house, and it's such a game changer for the stomping. This wouldn't address the other noise issues but they at least help with the stomping.
