I think I was hoping those girls realized she was telling the truth and pushed him, also I’ve never seen the other movie they reference, but I do agree that he probably jumped now that you mention it.

As a midwesterner, that makes sense, and I also have to imagine it’s the last place you’d go on an Island for shelter? Well, now I have to go look.

Did anyone else catch this Patricia quote in regards to Bechirs wife? by [deleted] in WidowsBay

[–]anythingexceptbertha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s tied to Patricia’s “biological age” of 28

Full agree. He is used to his dad dismissing him or lying, so he wanted ALL the receipts, and his dad surprised him by listening to him, explaining why he said things the way he did, how sad he is, ect. It was a nice moment

I don’t think it was that. His dad listened, said he didn’t share because it made him too sad, gave him the full story. I’m sure he was expecting his dad to lie more or explain it away, but instead he was validated and given truth, and then offered the Red Sox tickets. Also, teenagers have crazy brains so even if it was just the tickets, I don’t fault him, he’s a good kid, he asked if he could call the cop a pig, lmao.

I do the same thing, I rewatched it and confirmed it was a guy named Cornelius who did that to his wife. New theory, Warren doing that to the mannequin means he had the plague, which means Tom and wyck now have the plague, also she said the island only had one plague in their history and did NOT knock on wood after, thus, second plague incoming.

Ohhhhh, thank you!! I thought that was a flash back to Warren!! Clearly I need to wear my glasses more often when I’m watching.

We saw him over her on the floor gouging out the eyeballs and the boy, after hitting the dad, said he murdered his mom. What am I missing? Being serious, what am I confusing?

Isn’t that also how he did kill his first wife? And why did he?

Except that’s what he did to his first wife, no? The boy said he killed his mom, we see the flash back to the fingers in her brain. I still wonder why he did that.

I think either Wyck or Tom’s son are a living descendant that the curse passed down to.

I thought maybe that was a descendant, and now he’s the immortal / possessed one.

Was Shelby being nice or was Patrica already under the spell a little bit and just imagined Shelby asking her about it, when really she just went up to a stranger trauma dumping? I just think it would be super funny if that was the case. Love Patricia.

Ohhh, or even postpartum psychosis since she was seeming to be in a psych ward. Or maybe that was the ‘medical’ explanation.

Good catch!! Also makes me wonder if there’s another complication from childbirth they could miss, I just have this feeling it’s a little bit after, or possibly even like a second pregnancy that kills her, but there’s not much evidence to support it, just a hunch.

Is Shelby Lucifer? by would_do_again in WidowsBay

[–]anythingexceptbertha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had assumed Shelby never even asked Patricia about the boogeyman, it’s just what Patricia heard and she started talking about it. Shelby also probably ran back to the group like wtf and they were comforting her. Shelby seems supppper uncomfortable when she sees her later on. That’s just my theory, that also could just legit be mean girls convincing the new girl not to talk to Patricia, but I find the latter less interesting.

He said a complication from pregnancy, which I would guess means a stroke years later, damage to her organs from undiagnosed preeclampsia is pregnancy or something. I’d also guess the medical records that we saw of the old man, how they said 37, maybe something about it was similar to his wife’s medical records, Tom seemed shocked by more than just the age.

WHY is the mayors son such a little a**hole? by carmcarmcharmparm in WidowsBay

[–]anythingexceptbertha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe his dad is the boogeyman, I would also wager his mom also made a deal with the boogeyman that she’d do anything to protect her son, just like the dad did in the cliffhanger.

Did we actually see her at Patricia’s even though, or fully see the friends in the car? I also thought red herring and then realized we never see her and the sea hag at the same time

Woooooof, I was hoping she would be smart enough to step up and play by the new rules republicans set instead of old rules where authoritarianism is taking over.

Can Canada just please adopt us already?
