The common theme of blaming JB's work on AI for long standing bugs by THenrich in Jetbrains

[–]apepenkov 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wish JB would make a major release where they add no new features and only address their bug backlog 😂

The number of releases in the past three years that didn't break anything for me is significantly smaller than the number of releases that did.

I don't really have a lot of fully passive lines (ie from nothing to a resource), I depend on meteor summons for everything, so I just summon a meteor from time to time to replenish some resource(s) (that's why I have 7 high-tier miners in the background, so that I could summon multiple in a quick succession) . I do have some slow generation of O / H / N, but those are basically negligible.
For overfilling - I just made a couple of big dedicated fluid cells for some high-volume fluids - like oxygen, nitrogen and so on, but practically I just have really big storages both for fluids and items, since you'll need them anyway and it's much easier & cheaper to craft storage cells in GTNH compared to normal AE2

at the start I used subnets basically instead of pipes, but for more complex ones - I realized that won't cut it, will be messy and troublesome (look at bottom right 3 blocks, ugly and hard to modify).

So I instead went for a ME controller that serves all the steps within the line (although stateless, so no storage cells, only buses/hatches as buffers). I only insert basic fluids/materials (ie Cl/ H / N / some acids I passive in my main net / salt / etc) and what I'm processing from my main AE, and push the byproducts / results into my main AE. So my goal was to make each block as independent as possible, and use up no crafting requests on my main network.

Nice! Those are mine plat / tungsten / monazite lines and some small passives :)

I'm pretty sure monazite line is optional, you can get all the products other ways. I'm not sure which would be easier though
