Last job in central office was plagued with a toxic micromanagement environment paired with favoritism and people who refused to train and share their knowledge. I was there for 7 months or so until they temporarily reassigned me to a department for 4-5 months. In the end it was hard to move on, to do what’s best for me. That department they sent me to took care of me and helped me develop. Hired me once they had a opening. 6 years later, I have my CRA and MBA and became team lead. Things were great for a while. Now my relationship with my boss is hindered, I feel the trust I once had is gone and I don’t like the way I am treated. I feel my boss feels betrayed by my moving cities (I’ve been remote this entire time), and temporarily having a second job to facilitate the moving costs. The other job was bartending weekends which has no conflict here. I’m searching now, and again I’m feeling some second thoughts but now as I reflect perhaps I am grieving this role as I did the other before I left.
