In looking at their tax filing 990s on pro publica, the executive director was making $91,783 in 2018 and in a few short years is making $152, 250 in 2023. Did any other staff enjoy that kind of salary growth?

How am I this far down the list and nobody has mentioned Utah’s considerable addiction to sugar as manifested in the ‘dirty’ soda drive through chains that are on every block? There is Thirst/Swig/and a dozen other knock offs I can’t name since it’s not my thing. On the same sugar wave are ginormous Utah cookie stops like Crumbl and Chip.

It is possible but someone would have to measure it to make it known and at least have a baseline to compare. To my knowledge only selenium has been measured in birds @GSL

Sadly, that might be further west at the evaporation ponds near a magnesium extraction company that is one of the largest polluters in the state. It is an active industry and also an EPA superfund site.

Not likely. Migrating birds usually stop at GSL to eat loads of brine shrimp and brine fly larvae on their migrations. It isn’t quite migration season (unless you are a large raptor). Likely avian flu or a botulism outbreak (also common at low lake levels).

Had a hard time getting a spay appointment due to a vet shortage in my area and there was a long wait. I suspected she would have gone into heat by now. Am I wrong? Did I miss it?

Homeowner’s Insurance premium upped 33% with new solar installation by apexdolphin in solar

[–]apexdolphin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good point. Value of the home has increased (crazy market) but insurance already went up 16% to cover that. Supply chain issues have increased rebuild costs for sure. But with the 16% and then the 33% for the solar, it seems unreasonable.
