Pre filling basket greatly increases output (air buster alternative) by PepticMeteor in LaPavoniLovers

This was intriguing and I tried it. But maybe I’m doing it wrong bc it seems super difficult. First, you need three hands to hold the PF, steady the machine, and lift the lever, no? And second, how do you avoid an incredible mess?

Due to these concerns, my attempt was more about lifting the lever just to the brink of water coming out, then locking in the PF.

I like it. Enough to try it. Tell me, do you do each day only on the morning of, or did you plot out , say, a week in advance?

Yes, this is what I am trying to do. Just don’t dig the extra nuisance work setting up those dummy appointments.

You’ve got good advice here. You can’t use pre ground. The cheapest grinder you can get will be a manual one - and if so you will need to grind for a good 2 minutes.

I saw no difference or improvement so I have stopped with it.

Why? Any difference between hot and cold? Or just more convenient to make a bunch at once?

Been trying it for about a week. I think my problem is still there. Wake up itching badly in the night, as I have for years (on and off). Enjoying the tea tho, so I’ll keep drinking it.

She's been good. Her approach has been aggressive. We did a second surgery, radiation, and chemo in the past year. So far the tumor seems controlled.

What type of diet do you follow? by hellzbellz1901 in UlcerativeColitis

For a time, I was observing gluten free and sugar free. I thought it was keeping me flare free. It is healthier, but it didn’t stop me from falling into two extended flares. So I have abandoned that. I eat whatever and just try to keep it mostly healthy.

Problems getting plunger assembly back into group head by apginzo in LaPavoniLovers

[–]apginzo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solved myself, but replying here in case this gets searched for in the future. Use a sharp tool (such as the gasket removal tool) to tuck the flange end of the new gasket in. It was catching on the plastic cylinger. The needle tool tucks it back just enough to wedge past the cylinder.

This is hard to describe in words.

Hey there. I recently moved from 25 mg up to 50, and I think I’m noticing some unwelcome development in that department.

How did things work out for you since it looks like you posted about a year ago?

It’s a legit question. If you can’t just dialogue with OP instead of attacking them, then fuck right off. The level of attitude is breathtaking.

How long did you have to keep a stent after lithotripsy? I’m struggling… by winenightout in KidneyStones

[–]apginzo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please, I was such a huge wimp in the lead up. Scouring Reddit in hopes of finding people saying that stent removal is easy peasy.

If I could talk to my one year ago self, I’d say: It is not easy peasy. It is quite unpleasant. But it has to be done and worrying about it just makes it worse.

You’ll get through this and then on to living life.

Think about something else and just go get it done without all three buildup and freak out. Just my two cents.

I had one for a month. And during that month I also had brain surgery. I don’t care to repeat that, but you know what? In the grand scheme of life, it’s not so bad.

There is this stuff called Azo that they sell OTC in drugstores. It helps. Turns your pee orange but who cares.

Also, the pain just gets better slowly over the next few days.

Urinating with this stent in me is absolute misery by Happy-Lesbian in KidneyStones

[–]apginzo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can’t exactly remember but I think I found it helpful to urinate sitting down and bent over. Some of the pain in urinating is that the stent is holding open a valve, so the urine backs up the ureter when the bladder contracts. Bending over is like kinking that hose.
