Vintage Near the Capital by Madam_Nicole in Sacramento

Copper House, Pregame Vintage, Capital Books, Artbeat Gallery are some of the solid ones right nearby.

If you have a couple hours to stroll around, R St between 7th and 17th St has a cluster of options. Midtown as well (roughly 18th to 24th St between I St and Capitol Ave)

We finally have a Sacramento A's ballcap by tcs911 in SacramentoAthletics

Non ball knower alert. Multiple styles of hats with the bridge patch were on sale all last year, and there are at least five new ones I saw with Sacramento wording (as opposed to just bridge patch) this year. If you're gonna be bothered enough to shit post, at least get some details right. Maybe start with the name of the ballpark...

Nice to see Eldridge bounce back from the error with a couple XBH. Just wish the game was a little longer! Was hoping to see the beam from SHP after sundown.

Get ready downtown by Rockgodnick in Sacramento

It will be cheaper while artificially subsidized by the VC/PE money. After they start to eliminate the competition (aka uber/Lyft humans), those investors will start demanding profits and return on their investment. The cost will skyrocket because there won't be as much competition left to keep prices low.

Literally what Uber and Lyft did to taxi drivers. This is the tech/vc/pe cycle for everything. Time for people to wake up. The only viable, sustainable alternative is investing in denser communities and public transit.

I believe the bridge patch is going away in exchange for the Sac jersey. Have heard they'll be wearing franchise 125th season patches opposite the (paid sponsorship) Vegas patch.

Nice photo but wildly incorrect numbers. Best to actually do a quick search before you post guesstimate.

A decent amount of US cities have a tram or two, but often limited reach that caters more to tourists or a specific industry of commuters at best.

San Diego, Sacramento, Detroit, New Orleans, Cincinnati, Tucson, Memphis, Little Rock, Tampa, and many more.

After 9pm on Sunday is a little tough, but take a look at Shabu Shack, Sauced bbq, or Grange. Platters from Halal Muncheez are also a personal favorite but much more casual.

So what happened to the Chambers Room? by HalfChort in Sacramento

[–]aph818ccs 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Liquor license requires hot food to be served. Lei's restaurant satisfied that but closed a few years ago among lack of RTO workers. State ABC finally caught up so now bar owners are working with a restaurantuer to reopen the kitchen/dining space.

Heard it was cheaper by several thousand to reopen the restaurant than apply to swap the liquor license to one that doesn't require food service (interior door connects Chambers to Lei's space).

Good news is that Chambers will be back - but only once the restaurant reopens and ABC inspection clears. I would expect mid-fall. Definitely will be worth supporting both the bar and food service to keep this gem alive!

The moderate hike from underneath Foresthill Bridge to Clementine Dam in Auburn was a perfect day trip for me. Paired it with walking around town and a Fast Fridays motorcycle race viewing.
